| 4 tries in 2 games is a pretty poor return, and it doesn't look like we've bombed too many either.
On the plus side there is plenty to like about the defence.

| Incredibly poor second half, no attacking teamwork whatsoever except the relationship between Parcell and Cuthbertson, which looks promising, but then you need halves/fullback to back them up.
Ablett MoM. Cuthbertson and Singleton really good but they had to be, and were shattered in the last quarter. No surprise as McD obviously doesn't trust our other middle forwards, and that's a massive failure of either coaching or recruitment.
Saved by defensive plays by Keinhorst and Briscoe, who were two of our better players, Briscoe in particular.
Negatives...game management...all the intelligence seems to have left the club with Sinfield. None of the three halves were any good, but it's weird that the worst of them, the one who looks like a carthorse loose-forward, was the only one to get 80. Yes, it was a great 40-20 (and drop goal) but that doesn't make up for the rest of the performance. And he will never, ever, ever be a goalkicker.
The other problem with the halves is lack of support from fullback. I know we had that to an extent with Hardaker, but at least he backed up or joined the line. Golding's defence, ball security and positioning was again very good but at a time when fullbacks are being used as extra halves, he got involved in attacking plays presicesly zero times. Whether that's down to him or to the really strange McDermott structure, I don't know.
Also JJB looks finished.

Sceptical of Ormandroyd signing, but to be fair thought he looked quite good when on, and should have had longer.

| What an odd game.
first half looked like something to build on. 2nd half we did really well to defend but attack was atrocious. Really bad.
Thought Sutcliffe played really well, but as a team they won in spite of themselves.
They look like a team who will do something really special when they click, you can see glimpses of 2015, times when we look like we should run through teams scoring points in bunches and knocking teams out, but we just dont. Moves don't come off, passes dont stick, last tackle options whether running or kicking are poor, make breaks but don't finish, get a roll on but have no end product, force fumbles and win penalties and start plenty of set inside the 20 or 30 put don't get repeat sets or get over, first two games concede only 20pts, but only score 21.
But we have looked like that for 18months now.

I agree with most points apart from JJB he made 49 tackles last week, he didn't do that bad this week. When we have ferres and Delaney back and he can get some breathers he will be fine this year, our powder puff front row concerns me more thought cuthbertson did well and that's it from our props

| Another poor performance again tonight especially in attack again and defence looked weaker than last week leigh were making half breaks and far too many meters we was very lucky to scrape a win tonight, on the positives Parcell looks quality out of dummy half of quick ptb's, Ablett looked solid for most of game as did Stevie Ward and Keinhorst had another decent display hopefully not any injuries tonight and maybe some bodies back for next week for game at Headingley.

He was up there with Parcell and Cuthbertson. Keinhorst and Hall did well also. Thought the right hand three of Ward, Watkins and Briscoe were really poor.

| I thought we were alright in the first half once Cuthbertson got on. We were a shambles with the ball in the second half. You can complain about the coach all you want, but it was individual errors that put us under pressure.

| My point about Mullally and Ormondroyd (Baldwinson too)is that not playing them puts a big strain on the pack, especially late in the game.
With Galloway out for a little while and injuries or burn out a possibility he has to trust the bench players to do more than 0-5 minutes.

Didn't think Ormandroyd or Walters did too much wrong, certainly both offered more than Mullaly.

| My biggest issue with BMD is we've looked this poor with the ball for over 12 months so it becomes more than just a player issue over that time. We actually look like we don't know how we will play an attacking set from anywhere on the field. Head down up all the time is not pretty to watch.

Thought Briscoe aspired to average to be honest. As time has gone on, i think it has become more and more imperative that we utilise the better value we would get from handley.
I thought Hall ( bar his pass to Burrow) Ablett and Sutcliffe played really well, Golding is really earning his shirt and proving many wrong, But JJB was my man of the match. If we had a team full of players who ran as hard and tackled as much as he has these first too games, i could line up at halfback and we would win.

Agree about Ward and Watkins (how did Ward get MoM, I thought Stevo had retired?) but Briscoe particularly in the second half came looking for work, made more drives and yards than most of the forwards, and got us on the front foot with quick ptbs and penalties. In a game where he was given absolutely no wingers' opportunities I thought he did really well. As well as pulling off a match-saving tackle after the whole of the rest of the right edge had been taken in my their centre's inside ball.
I see a couple are calling him out, and I wouldn't say he's always a favourite of mine, but on the night I disagree.

| Sutty was also a strange one, obviously the 40/20 and drop goal, as well as some other good touches and carries and generally good defence, BUT if your grading him as a half probably a C or average.
Good player, wrong position imo.

Thought Walters tried really hard, but not sure there is a worse player in Super League. He is almost comical, the way he spends most of his time sliding on his backside, or diving at thin air.
