| Something not right with Sezer. Very strange. He’s a top halfback on his day but his head is clearly not right

I think it’s confidence. Coming back after a bad injury, into a a team where the hookers can’t deliver any consistent or quick ball. No surprise really…..

| Quote: Exeter Rhino "We're badly missing a leader. Myler is perhaps one of our only hopes left in this department...
I hate to say it, but for all Gale's failings, he did give us leadership that is so obviously lacking at present. I have nothing against Handley but having him anywhere near the captaincy (from the wing) sums up how badly off we are in this department.
Having followed Leeds for a long time, it seems like we're back in the post-Murray years of trying to assemble a quick fix top-team by bringing in short-term signings (Ben Walker, Adrian Vowles etc etc). It didn't work back then - it has never worked for teams like Warrington in the last 20 years - and it probably won't fix things for us now.
What a shame that players like Stevie Ward have been forced out of the game, and that someone like Liam Sutcliffe has utterly squandered the potential he had back in 2015... To think he managed to force Sinfield out of the team, and in the same year Briscoe scored 5 tries at Wembley. Talk about living on past glories.
I'm confident things will turn around, but someone needs to come in and make some tough decisions.'"
Sutcliffe didn't have a bad year last year. However, IMO he should have been shipped out a long time ago.

Sutcliffe has all the ability in the world, but the maturity of a 2 year old!

He's not a bad player, just has zero pace. Similar to Austin in a way though a better tackler, it has to be said.

Sent back through time to rid the world of bovine related sports teams: |
|
| Yesterday was a classic example of a team that lacks the organisation and focus provided by good coaching. That Cas team is not great and they were made to look like world beaters. Sezer can and, with the right direction, will offer so much more than he has thus far but, if I am being honest, I have had my doubts about Austin since we gave Warrington a shellacking just before lockdown.
Graham Murray made average players into great players and perhaps to a lesser extent, Smith got the best out of the undoubtedly talented squad he had at his disposal. Even McDermott could organise and motivate a team.
I have been watching Leeds for well over forty years now and we have only ever achieved with a good coach. The problem is, the disparity between Super League and the NRL is now so great, I don't know how we are going to find one.

He does now as he’s had a lot injuries. When he came through, those in the know were saying he’s the most talented kid they’ve ever seen. If you met Sutty, it would be clear why things never panned out though…..

I'm shocked at how poor the pair of them look.
Both painfully slow and dreadful in defence.
At least Austin looks like he's trying at times, Sezer looks like he can't be bothered.
Get rid of both in the end of season clear out for me.'"
Austin is trying he made two good busts/breaks yesterday leading to one try, does look our most dangerous runner, defence is woeful.
Austin clearly does not want to play/ be here, currently anyway, suspect he just taking the money looking to just run out his contract and return home or hoping for a pay out to ship out.

| Quote: ArthurClues "Just watched most of JJB's press conference. Crikey! He looked like he was literally swotting at flies some of the time. Maybe it's the lack of media training, although he is definitely not camera shy. Not of this would matter if he was a decent coach, and maybe he is. One thing that rankles though - it's as if he wasn't at the club when Agar was there. If you are going to apply the "blowtorch" at least admit your in culpability in the whole fiasco.'"
100% I know that there has to be an interim period and wholesale change can't happen overnight but the whole coaching team was responsible for our current performance levels and JJB Long and Walker are equally as culpable as Agar. To be fair to Agar he seems an honourable man with good integrity who was working on a 6 month rolling contract which was only supposed to be short term. Also what other duties has he had to pick up since Sinfield left. He took responsibility and stepped down. The other guys only have to coach but have been strangely quiet about their roles in our current plight. Ultimately its down to Hetherington why we are in our current malaise.

How do you know you this ? He was trying his heart out all game, and only player who looked like they could break the line. Chatting and j-ing them up behind posts. Only one sticking his neck out…..
I’d make him captain!

Absolutely nobody in the know was saying Suttcliffe was the most talented kid they've ever seen, anybody who was saying that were clueless. People in the know would tell you that Stevie Ward, just the year group before, was considerably better and considerably more talented.

They are both clearly very talented players though. And bottom line is these were the two that were supposed to lead the new era…
