| A very poor performance , and our performances from the second half of the Cup onwards have all been poor. However , certain things even in adversity do become clear -
One position we need to sort for next year is our no. 6 - Robert Lui is non existent as an attacking force. Every team knows he cannot run , so they just
stand off him ( no pun intended ) and wait for the pass . Luke Gale cannot do it all himself , and the top teams will put him under immense pressure .
Sutcliffe will never make a rugby player - he can`t even with all the time in the world draw a full back and put his winger over . His attempt tonight for Handley`s
try was pathetic .
Cameron Smith does not have the pace for the way the game is going - for a young forward , he looks like a carthorse.
Cruise Leeming has to do a lot of work on his defence - a poor team looked so much better tonight , when he went off.
We need to finish off the league matches asap , put together a meaningful play off and Grand Final , and now enjoy the toughest 3 rugby league matches you will see this
season , starting on Wednesday 4th November with the first State of Origin - it does not get any tougher .

| I guess this kind of performance was going to happen sooner or later.
The lack of attacking cutting edge has arguably been missing since the CC final (we could have arguably made easier work of Salford, although that's perhaps doing them a disservice). I'm sure this can be sorted out through coaching.
What's most concerning about this team in the last few weeks/months is the lack of anyone with genuine pace, with the possible exception of Handley. Hurrell and Newman are powerful runners but not speedsters. It's a problem for our attack, but increasingly a problem for our defence too. As soon as someone with pace breaks through, that's often 'game over' as far as it goes for stopping the opposition scoring. It's bad when the likes of Wakefield, Cas and Salford all have pacier backlines than us (never mind Wigan, Saints and Warrington!) - and a far cry from the days of having Briscoe, Watkins, Hardaker, Hall, and BJB in the squad who were ALL capable of going the length of the field if needed.

| Very surprised we didn't play younger players and fringe players for tonights game majority of that team finished playing a physical game against Cas at 9:30pm on Monday and to ask them to go again and try perform was too much to ask Agar should have gone with similar team he did for Catalans and Warrington games. I'd imagine that he will play a second team this Sunday as the players look exhausted tonight. Wakey also had an extra day rest than us with them playing on Sunday and us playing on Monday it's not a lot but they finished Sunday about 4pm and we finished our game Monday 9:30 pm so they did get a bit more recovery time than us which is why it was surprising agar ask the players to play in tonight fixture instead of Sunday. Hopefully we can continue to compete for play off place however they get decided weather a top 4 or top 6 but it needs sorting ASAP.

| Wakey wanted it more & once they got a grip on the game we didnt have enough physically or mentally to sustain any momentum.
Too many errors , lack of structure in attack & imo selection let us down as well.
The tiredness kicked in when we were on the back foot & despite having a dig second half Gale & Lui were poor once we got into their 20.
The CC win was a huge bonus & there are positives to build on this Year but for me last night was poor overall Walters O'Connor Muzzy Mclellend & Tindall all should have played maybe even Harrison.
We may not have won either way but imo we'd have been fresher & wouldnt have to be using Ferres & L.Briscoe plus done of the others would be rested for Sunday if it goes ahead.
We have a bigger squad than most & last night Agar utilised it all wrong.

| I think we're back in the market for another HB.
Rob Lui offers nothing.

Do not twist my words , i said we deserved the win overall at Wembley , but i stick to my pathetic comment regarding the 2nd half

exactly hence the reason the players can not use the tired excuse when they were rested for all those games

We did not have a cutting edge against Salford

100 % correct , we are far healthier than 12 months ago but have a long way to go to catch up with Saints and even Wire and Wigan

Please read the post again and you might work out what i was saying .
The challenge cup semi was the near perfect wet weather performance , it was the reason we won the cup , but do not get carried away as that was the only game we needed to be any good to win the competition

My point is clear, you comment when we’re poor but not when we win unless it’s still to call us pathetic.
The reason we won the cup is because we won the games we needed to win to win it and the club deserves credit for that, it’s as simple as that
Im not getting carried away and if you take your own advice and read what I write you would see that.

| We played brilliantly against Wigan in the semi. I just scratch my head about our shape and ability to play what’s in front of us sometimes. We really struggled to break Cas down when they had 12 men: we get 12 men and Wakey get to the edges and score tries within minutes.
Too many times players out of position, over-running plays, chucking it anywhere or not thinking enough.
Definitely some fatigue in there but maybe Sean Long will make a difference.
Then there’s the squad itself: I’m leaning toward 2 new decent signings now, probably 6 and 10.
We will need more patience but I do think there is a great crop of young players coming through now, and they will improve. On that basis alone the side can hardly fail to get better over the next few years.
