| Deciding that Martin isn't worth a new contract based on a game when we played him at stand off is Classic Southstander.

| Do not be suprised by Kendall , he has long seemed to have an Agenda against Leeds , if you do not aggree with that then fine we may be unlucky that we have just had the poor luck of the draw in his decisions in 20 plus games he has reffed us and in his defence he did give Saints a leg up in the Grand Final against Salford when every 50/50 or 60/40 decision went against Salford . All that said he was not the reason we lost . Obviously the lack of half backs and centres were the reason . Saying that if a full time team can not work out some last tackle plays in the lead up to a match whoever is playing then that is Mickey poor .
The Briscoes - I am a big critic of Tom although i admit when he is playing with confidence then he is not too bad . Last night he was good for the first time this season , his brother keeps on improving , he is not a world beater but more than adequate as a reserve Winger . As said Ash Hndley is a big miss for us as he is in the top five Wingers in Super League .
Alex Suttcliffe , shocking miss on Farrel , but hey this bloke is good and improves every game , a sure fire long term 2nd Rower .
Odleski - To back up a great performance on Saturday with another fine game for the full 80
Not going to say too much on all the other youngsters apart from that we will see the best of them when only one or two have to play with a more experienced side .
Hookers , yeh they have their downsides but for me they have been pretty good this year and the effort is outstanding . Let us not forget they have mostly been our only attacking threat .
Eastmond - The Jury is still out .
Martin - out of position but not good .
Prior - A few errors last night but what a workhorse
So going forward what do we need ? Obviously players back ! but i tell you what would take this team even then to the next level . We need an outstanding number 6 . Not any of the average ones we have got but an absolute star on Marquee money who would get our second rowers and centres running lines and finding gaps and controlling the game from his position . Might be easier to say it than do it but that would make this team !

We have far too many backrowers who will be in front of him. Tetavino Smith Mellor Martin Walters A Sutcliffe Donaldson and in the future Gannon.'"
Tetevano best position is prop all day long

correct-a-mundo
Anyone coming on here and bemoaning Leeds at a point that we are playing with no recognised halfs, a decimated back line and only just utilising a player out of the game for nearly a decade needs to give their head a wobble.

| Martin will be OK once he's back in the second rowhope we'll see more of Mellor once gale and hurrel return. I'm a huge fan of dwyer but last night he was off. Thought we needed lemming on at 9. Old have had dwyer at 6

| I think Leeds have actually been very impressive in the last couple of games - there's a resilience and intensity about them that I'm not sure has been there in the last 2-3 years.
Get some players back and they're a major contender in the playoffs, wherever they finish.
I think Eastmond is the big question mark - he'll no doubt improve but can he improve enough to be the scrum half of a title winning team?

| Ridiculous to judge Eastmond based on last night. We all know its a bit of a gamble, hes not played rugby in a year and not played RL in nearly 10 years.
Anyone expecting the old Eastmond will be disappointed but he has the talent and will improve over time if he can stay healthy and get a run of games.

| Eastmond needs a haircut and a shave. Other than that he'll be fine once he gets some more gametime under his belt. He needs to play Stand Off each week now.

I am sure he will improve but he is not the answer to making us a great team again , that revolves around a Marquee Stand off

Agree - and without being arrogant, the competition needs a strong Leeds. We are getting there slowly.
Not sure if we'll be contenders in the shake up this year, we'll see. Whether it's Lui or Eastmond we will need an effective 6 whatever happens, along with better luck with injuries.
I do think we'll be up there again next year though, subject to one or two more key signings.
