I agree things don't look good for the Cas game. But nothing is certain, such is the nature of sport.

I think we may see a response, how long it will be during the game is another matter.

Its one thing to go down all guns blazing and another to meekly offer some token resistance for 10 mins when the games gone.

Can't decide. From a Cas perspective I would like to to think Powell could out-coach Lowes irrespective of the teams. Alternatively there is usually a brief positive reaction to a sacking & Leeds might play with a flare & passion they have been lacking for a good while,

I'd be surprised if we don't see some sort of reaction from the players. After all whilst the coach rightly takes some blame for poor performances, so should they, and based on performances this year a few ought to be on notice regarding their futures at the club.

Reading Danny Mags' interview in the Yorkshire Post was interesting saying he wasn't surprised by the sacking & that it's very much a "Player lead" Club.

Rhinos seem distinctly lacking in players showing leadership. I can't think who he means.

Whether it's a good call remains to be seen. The appointment certainly calls into question Sal's idea that there's some kind of feud between GH and KS.

sorry I meant that it was a good call by Sal suggesting Sinfield. I was always under the impression that he had no interest in coaching. While his job title may be DOR if he is selecting the team etc he must have some involvement in how they are going to play.
It's great he is back involved but would still like someone with experience in coaching, Lowes would
not have been my choice.

We must agree to differ as always - the move to RU and the timing was one thing and Kevin eventually wanting GH's job another - as I said desperate times call for desperate measures.

Can't help thinking that you have made a big mistake with Lowes. He is hardly going to portray a professional image of the club his interviews for BFd Bulls were in the crap bracket. He struggles to string a sentence together if he can't swear. Think you missed the Gareth Southgate of rugby but I for one am glad you missed him .........Richard Marshall . Think either him or Rowley could have done you a very good job . Just think what Marshall has done on financial peanuts and the development of youth . He is still on a learning curve but way higher up the hill than Lowes can achieve IMO.

Rowley just builds teams of thugs - teams in his own image.

Marshall deserve a chance as an assistant at a SL club
