| Is there a reason he is arriving later than suggested? Last I heard he was expected to debut today?
On the face of it he has hardly busted a gut to get here and even watch his new to team live, never mind play.
I keep saying it but it's so clear he doesn't want to be here.

| I don't think he has control over the necessary clearance issues needed.

Then yes that's obviously not his fault, but poor by the club to not be on top of that.

As I understand it Leeds have signed a player from overseas before so might have an understanding of relevant policies and regulations so they are prepared in advance.

What makes you think they were unprepared or didn't understand the relevant policies or regulations?

Take the connnection to London....then the one to L.A. ....and so on
He won't be doing what he hoped for (i.e.playing continued top flight RL) either way. Might as well just keep on moving.
(Just seen the result and read the report)

Na watch it back he couldn't of really passed because the winger was stood in the way, he needed to sell the dummy better but because he didn't the winger was still close enough to reef at the ball
Having said that, they would have won the game if he had played fullback with Moylan at 6 and Cartright at 13, Moylan has one of the best passing games in the league but is off positionally by a yard every time (cost NSW as well) and Zak is miles better in that department if nothing else, whilst Cartright didn't have the pace to defend 3 in
Maybe the Penrith coach can have a competition with Mac to see who can make the stupidest selection decisions
BTW how good is Tedesco?! miles better that Boyd for me and should play for Aus, looks like they will still dominate for years to come

All the sound bites when he signed on loan were about him debuting against widnes which would suggest we expected him here at least a couple of days before that. Now though he isn't even due in the country until tomorrow. If the reason for this is visa issues as said on here then unless it's just a general backlog in the office it's poor by the club.
So what is the hold up? Did the club just not know how long the paper work takes? Is there something in his history that means he is being scrutinised and the club weren't aware and didn't do their homework? There are rules for this stuff and a top level sports club should be on top of this stuff.

| According to the Gov.uk website, decisions on points based visa applications from Sydney are currently taking between 10-15 days.
The deal was announced 22 June, so I'd say it was optimistic verging on ridiculous to expect him to be in the UK within 7 days to be ready to play today.
More realistic that his visa comes through early this week and he has a chance of featuring on Friday.

Or you could just realise the club used it as a cheeky way to sell tickets for this game by making it seem like he'd be here for today's game.

Ha, yes well that is entirely plausible.
If that is the case though then it really is bottom of the barrel marketing.

| Rob Oates wasn't looking too chipper after the game - he will have to work a lot harder.
