| Was it the only time Douggie was on Sky and didn't pick his nose?
I do remember there was something different about that game, but I'll be buggered if I can remember what it was....
edit: did we field an entirely GB qualified team? or is it the only one where Stevo is wearing Eddie's wig?

I give in. Damn I so wanted to win the prize.
Did Craig Innes applaud the spectators and leave the following week?
Quote: G1 "edit
The presence of John Gallagher, Craig Innes, Kevin Iro and Gary Mercer suggests that's probably not it.

Graham Middleton making his 1st grade debut at The Willows.

| Quote: AJC "Anyone remember Steve Pilgrim? He was a good RU player who Leeds offered a trial, to be fair he looked quite good but Leeds said no. '"
This was taken at an 'A' Team game at Mount Pleasant (his second trial game for Leeds) although the opposition were Dewsbury and not Batley as you might have expected.

And the Admiral can confirm after jetting briefly in to the land of Devon the other week, that Mr K Squire is back as 'Director Of Rugby' at said Barnstaple RUFC

| It looks to me as if Pilgrim is being tackled by Barry Manilow.
Did he cop one to the banana?

That's bizarre. The tackler's name was Lola, he was a showgirl.

The answer you've all been waiting on tenterhooks for.......................
It was the outbreak of Gulf War Mark I and the new was broadcast throughout the game on a rolling ticker on the bottom of the screen.
Obscure eh?

The thing that most shocked me is that you have this on tape.....
.....I would have thought you would have recorded over it with a Swedish "film" shall we say

Not only is it obscure but I strongly suspect it's also complete and utter s[ih1t[/ie.
As someone may of once said when discussing crop rotations in the 14th century, I knew it, I bloody knew it....
... Except Graham Middleton's Leeds 1st Grade debut at the Willows was 17th January 1993 whereas the first Gulf War IIRC began when Iraq invaded Kuwait on the 2nd August 1990 and the response in the form of Desert Storm commenced on or around the 17th January 1991.
(Incidentally Leeds also played at the Willows that day only this time without Graham Middleton.)
It appears Gotcha isn't the only one struggling in the factual area.
The obvious follow up now is, what does everyone get to call the questioner for the next four weeks?
__________
I'm fairly sure it won't be any worse than G1 is calling himself right now as the page is turned or the thread slowly drifts away .........

| Bloody hell, I wish I paid more attention to how Gotcha knits fog right now................................
It was definitely summat to do with the Gulf War. I'll get in the loft and dig out the VHS.
Fekk it, I won't, I'll just leave the thread to drift.
You're still a fekkwitt btw.

Read the reply again, I think the answer you are searching for is probably already in there.

Cheers. I wouldn't feel included without it.

'" Hooray, I was half right. Just shows the Alzheimer's hasn't fully settled in. Had fekk all to do with Graham Middleston tho'
Now, let's move on please and allow this thread to drift off page 1.
