| Quote: Joshheff90 "Shaun Wayne blaming Leeds for influencing the panel. Shaun Wayne is one of the biggest hypercrits in sport. What game was it when at half time Wigan complained to the ref how the game had been managed when They were losing. Then surprise surprise the second half the ref was way lenient to Wigan. It seems nearly every week he's got something to cry about. I hate his mind games in interviews and it seems nearly every week he's " sending a scathing attack" at some club. Must be hard when the whole world is against you.'"
It was against Hudds this year that he had Bateman walk back towards the ref and have a word with him.
This is also the same Shaun Wane who did his best to get McGuire banned for the 2012 playoff semi final against Wigan for a foul he committed in a game against a different team....at least McDermott is vocal because the incident took place against one of his players and whether or not Tautai was banned is irrelevant to us as we are going into the Middle 8's so no knock on effect to us regarding his absence.
I loved to see the reaction from him and his players if Sam Tomkins is on the end of one of those tackles. Joel would come sprinting down from the stand, knackered knees and all to carry on pushing and shoving and shouting at the ref.

Spot on. Did we appeal against Garbutt's 2 match ban for punching? No the club accepted it and make the player pays the consequence.....Wigan setting a unsavoury environment at their club where they'll try and get players off for committing offences that they should be punished for.

| Exactly. And he has the cheek to say this
“Some of the comments from Leeds after the game – and before the match review panel – massively influenced everything,” he told Wigan Today.
“Which I think is really poor and disappointing.
“Not only (Brian), I’ve got Leeds players running to the referee (in protest). If that’s the way we’re going, I feel sorry for our game.
I don't think I've seen a clearer example of hypocrisy

I agree that the constant appealing and whining in the media is distasteful but they are being allowed to do it. If the RFL got tough and increased bans or fined clubs for consistently wasting time on appealing then it would stop quickly.
Just to be clear I don't think a two game ban for that type of tackle is enough. It's designed to bring the player to ground by buckling the legs which is simply far too risky to be allowed.

You might want to go back and check the dates on those. 7 examples over 8 seasons at less than 1 a year. Hardly the frequent usage of the appeal system Wigan use.

| Wane >>>Koukash both whining gobsh*#*s who stamp their feet to get their own way when they are part of the problems they are whinging about.
The RFL need to grow some stones & sort this pathetic disciplinary system out.
Onto Hicks he was woeful & completely bottled the big decisions the fact he hasn't been held accountable is another example of officials getting protection & imo is avoiding a chance to Coach them to make better calls.

| Have you read the summary of the charge on the RFL website....
'Player accompanied by Head Coach Shaun Wane pleads not guilty to charge. Player does not accept that his actions were reckless. Both his feet were on the floor during the tackle. The expression reckless indicates disregard in the tackle. This was almost a perfect tackle. Players are coached to make contact between opponent’s hip and top of leg. There are two other tackling players involved and as a result they turn opponent tackled player also moves one of his legs in lifting motion. Player releases grip immediately. Player spoke to opponent after game. No reaction from Official. This happens in a split second and no intent to injure opponent'

Before the decision on whether McGuire would be banned before the Wigan semi final in 2012.....
"If there's any consistency from the review panel and the disciplinary then Danny won't be playing on Friday because, if anything, what he did was worse than what Micky did," Wane told the Wigan Observer.
"I expect him to be suspended. It's straightforward to me, if Micky got three weeks for what he did... but I'm not holding my breath on that one. I'll be watching it closely"
