I know Anderson has said he was happy doing his media work back home. Hoping and getting are 2 differant things in this day and age. Is there nobody from within? Although i know James Lowes wont exite you. Just look at what he did at Warrington.

| I imagine some fans of other clubs have been voting for McDermott. Even in the unlikely event that they haven't, so far over 3/4 of respondents would rather he was replaced.

Do you really think Hetherington will will get shut of McDermott? He could risk a player unrest as the squad rate him highly especially after them backing him last season.

Last year Hetherington said McDermott was his best ever signing (or similar) so a sacking certainly looks unlikely.
On the other hand, McClellan got the bullet after a Wembley battering by Wire but 2 championships, which could have 3 out of 3 but for the McGuire injury. Dean Lance was fired mid-season with the team no worse off than they are now. Daryl Powell, regarded as Gary's pet, was treated pretty brutally, so you never know.
I doubt he'd be sacked during the season. If Leeds bomb out of the cup semi final, lose in the first round of the playoffs and suffer a couple more spankings along the line (and crowds/merchandising/income go down) then it surely has to be a possibility before 2013.

Not sure the players are backing him where it matters at the present time.
If the choice is between upseting a few precious prima donna dressing room types approaching the twilight of their careers - or further alienating a reasonably high percentage (if this site is any indication of the silent majority) of the supporter base if the level of performance doesn't markedly improve and soon.
Tough call. What's the cheapest option? That's the only winner.

Lets not open up old wounds. From what i can remember it was all his own doing. Didnt McClellan walk? As far as McDermott is concerned will he get until the end of the season or is he a dead man walking. If you perform like that again against us in the cup semi final you lot will be baying for blood!

On the strength of last years comeback, I think we will hang on to him. Do agree its a tough one especially after last night and the St Helens game with Warrington to come.

| Well when McDermott was hired GH made a bit of noise about giving british coaches a chance, if he was to stick to that i would say give Daryl Powell the chance he never got to return like was the original plan. If not bothered by nationality i'd say Daniel Anderson.
Having said that i do still think McDermott will be in charge come 2013 unfortunately.
