Don't dissagree with that. But it's without ball I was more concerned about, and how slow he was getting back for kicks, how slow he was turning around, and how hesitant he looked with the kicks.

He looks too bulked up to me - there must be limit as to how big someone can get with it affecting their speed and mobility

| In all fairness what options did BMD have last night, 3 of our key attacking options all injured left us with 2 loose forwards at half back. It left us with no spark or speed when in came creating chances.
I thought the pack (with exeption of kirke) played alot better than last week but we were always going to struggle in the halfs.
We have the most exciting back line in super league but we seem unable to use it. Anyone thinking BJB is webbys long term successor needs to watch the game again, Stick to the wing with Watkins and we'll be alright.
When we get all three back and a couple of forwards it'll start looking bright again, hopefully against a charged up bankrupt bulls on friday.
Have faith

| Sal-Re Hardaker i think you been a bit harsh on the lad he's rarely had chance to get Hall away with the ball in real space and his performances overall hardly point to 2nd season syndrome imo.
There are issues with the lack of quality ball both Hardaker and Watkins are getting and then the knock on effect to the Wingers lacking good supply hopefully that will be adressed when Webb ,Mcguire and Burrow return.

| Last nights game along with our visit to St Helens shows more than anything what a huge loss Mcguire is when he's missing. Obviously Burrow gives you something different in attack and Webb chimes in well but last night reminded me of many games in 2011 where we looked absolutely clueless without Mcguire. Our attacking was laboured and lateral last night, by the time our centres/wingers received the ball they were nearly always outnumbered. Whenever a player looked like making a break there was invariably nobody on his shoulder supporting. Another worrying aspect regarding Mcguires unavailability is our abysmal kicking game. Mcguire may not be Danny Brough, but our kick options and execution let Huddersfield off the hook time and time again. Broughs booming 40/20 is something we can only dream of at Headingley. We have enjoyed great success recently despite our kicking game not because of it. On the plus side I thought Ward was our most inventive player and Moore showed he should be in the 17 every week on current form. Still, nowt's won in March, just ask Huddersfield. If they were a man they'd be down the doctors with premature ejaculation.

I think he is a natural full back and not a centre he is playing out of position and it is beginning to show as the better sides target him - not for the first time this season his defence last night was poor and we might as well not play with a winger outside him in the attacking plays. The fact Hall doesn't get the ball in real space is because Hardaker isn't capable of creating that space for him.

You can't say that on here - as long as Sinfield plays that should be good enough just ask GI Glad to see we are not missing Buderus either eh Gareth?

| Last night was a good result.
We don't want to use up too much of our set allocation of good form.
Saints were looking very danngerous until the last few weeks. What huddersfield are playing at i'm sure, but at this rate they won't have a big enough allocation of good form for the playoffs.

When he actually managed to catch it...
I've never seen a 'full back' with such poor hands.

| i agree with sal, hardaker for me could be a real top class full back. BJB should stay on the wing.
boy did we miss burrow and mcguire, mcshane is not up to the task and it was a relief when hood came on. mcshanes distribution is so slow the shudds line was on the tackler when the ball got there.
kylie added a lot of go forward in his second spell but there was no creativity, ward apart, who was outstanding. for friday, hardaker to full back, wing, ablett centre and have mcguire at 7, sinfield 6,burrow 9 and ward 13

| One positive from last night, Stevie Ward looked very comfortable and showed a little class. That apart we were badly beaten in the forwards and therefore always scrambling with no shape at all. The games are won and lost there and the backs have no room or breaks to feed off. The whole pack for me looked lethargic hence no convincing dummy runners and definatly no one running angles. Without JJB we don't have any energy in the second row, Delaney works hard but is never going to be a line breaker and Clarkson (who I thought would move up a gear this year) is definatly behind the game. Ablett works really hard and is a favourite of mine but is not making any breaks. I thought JP showed his age and Kylie seems to be carrying an injury.

| I agree about Clarkson Digger47. I was expecting him to have improved this season............ and what Kirk brings to the game I have yet to discover but the powers that be must rate him.

| Just watched the Saints v Wire game from last night.
Those who think we'd be ok without a class hooker might want to watch Roby's performance.
Hood is a great prospect but nowhere near the finished article and, although it really pains me to say it, McShane isn’t performing like we’d hoped.
If Bradford were to have a Fire Sale I’d welcome Diskin back with open arms.

| One thing that I've noticed last night and at Saints is that the distribution from the base of the scrum by Ablett is very slow. Burrow has been packing down at loose forward (when starting as hooker) and the ball is away a lot quicker.
