Quote: Old Feller "
I think I'm correct in saying that the winner of the WCC has always lost their next Superleague match, no doubt tvoc will either confirm or refute that.'"

That's a massive tick in the refute column unfortunately.

Over the last five seasons (just as an example) the WCC Champions (All SL) have won their next SL fixture with the exception of you know who.

2008..... Leeds.....Lost to Castleford
2007..... St Helens..... Beat Bradford
2006..... Bradford..... Beat Wakefield
2005..... Leeds ..... Beat Hull
2004..... Bradford..... Beat Wigan

No he didnt, he was struggling to get up, yes using his forearm with intent, but none connected, he could have induced a fight, but didnt. He wanted a quick ptb, whats he meant to do just lie there until cats player got off of him?

They should have held another sit in after the match, that was amusing. Far better than the walk out they did do instead.

Strong rumours that he's going there and I for one think he's the man to bring much needed silverware to Warrington.

I'm not sure Smith would want to go with the sort of players they have at the moment. Some of the defence on the Catalans tries was truly appalling.

Smith came to Leeds and 'tweaked' the squad he had and got the best out of them. At Warrington I get the impression he'd have to clear out the rubbish and re-build almost from scratch. That's a hell of an ask.

I agree i think he'd improve them and make sure they were in the mix but actually winning the comp i doubt because whilst he'd need at least 18mths to 2 yrs to get the squad he wanted the likes of us and saints are gonna be standing still either.

Read into this what you want:

I went into william hills in morley last year to ask for the odds on tony smith being appointed as the head coach for the 2010 sl season at warrington.

No odds were given to me for this bet, I was told that i had obviously been told something or that i knew something!

So you're saying they should appoint Powell?
