| Worrying to see the likes of Saints, Huddersfield and Wigan signing decent players to bolster their squads. Whilst we sign players who don't seem to offer much more than we already have. We are desperately short of at least 2 and possibly 3 strong running forwards plush an organising half back. I also see Wigan have now signed Bateman to add to their squad. We could end up as Bradford mark 2 if we don't look to strengthen soon. No doubt we will be told there's money available if the right player comes up.

I think as we stand we have a fantastic, young three quarter line. A top SL standard half back combo and plenty of back row options to keep us going strong. So no major concerns right now.
Our front row options are my biggest worry.JP being outstanding this year was critical because the rest, and that includes Kylie who is now on fumes imo, were not up to the mark.Singleton has shown great promise and hopefully he can carry that into next year.We should be on the hunt for a top prop right now, we cant just rely on JP having another epic year and carrying the rest.

Would any of Wigans outside backs get into the Leeds side now Tomkins gone? No they wouldn't.
We need to get our forwards strengthened, but like of Wigan still have a way to go yet before they are ahead. Our weakness was not strengthening from a position of strength, but as long as we realise this we can stay ahead of the game.

Charnley, Bowen and it is pretty close between Ablett and Goulding.
Whilst I appreciate the point being made, Wigan look to be putting a big strong pack together and taking a chance in certain positions with young lads namely Wing and Centre.
What is a concern if I were a Leeds fan is the Leeds pack. They have been awesome for so long but they cannot do it forever as last season showed. From watching the Academy Grand Final this year there does not look to be much coming through either of real top quality, well incomparrison to the opposition on that day.
There is a lot of miles on the clock and the signs are there to suggest new blood needs to come in sooner rather than later.

| An old Bowen over Hardaker?? = No thanks.
I rate Charnley very highly but i'm more than happy with Hall/Briscoe and until its confirmed he's going Bjb.
Also Ablett is BR 1st and foremost but when he's been required has proven to be a very good centre for us.

What?
Charnley is not as good as Briscoe and Hall. Bowen is not as good as Hardaker. Golding is not in competition with Ablett, it would be Watkins and Moon, both far superior.
Agree on your pack point, which is what I said in previous post.

| Fair point actually forgot you guys had Moon for some reason.
Charnley was better than both Hall and Briscoe last year. Hall for me got nowhere near the heights he is capable of, nearly all of the Leeds fans I speak to (don't come on here often so not sure the general opinion on here) seemed to agree.
Bowen was the form player in the NRL once he recovered from injury last year. He was by far the standout player in the Cowboys team. Long term obviously Hardaker is the better player but next season I think Wigan will actually be stronger at full back next year, as Bowen has all the ability in the world going forward but also is positionally better than Tomkins and better under the high ball. How he adapts to SL and the conditions is the only concern I have.
I already have £20 on him being MOS.

| For future potential, of course you'd go for Hardaker over Bowen. But in terms of current ability, it's Bowen every time for me.

| Charnley over our wingers, no question. I'd take the rest of our backs over theirs though.

| Probably Charnley over Briscoe and that's it. Even that I don't think Leeds come off a bad second best. The long term potential of Hardaker, Briscoe, Watkins, Moon & Hall is massive.

But you used to argue Michael Platt was a star.

| I agree our backs are good although I have doubts over Hall due to his lack of pace but his strength near the line is second to none. Our half backs if we stick with Sinfield Burrow and McGuire are no longer good enough. Our front row apart from JP were very poor and I doubt he will get better next year. Hence why we need a good half back and at least 2 props who can run it in hard and off load. Saints seem to have done well with Masoe or whatever his name is and Amar. And as mentioned Wigan and Huddersfield have strengthened their squad whilst we continue to release players.
