Quote: Juan Cornetto "Did the Leave campaign place these adverts? the Remain campaign are like all bullies they give it out and complain if some comes back at them.

What is the current UK and EU governments position regarding EU membership?

and are they planning to accelerate that membership?

Even if it takes 10 or 20 years eventually they will join based on current policy.

Cameron refused to answer 3 times if he would veto Turkey's membership on TV the other night.'"

Turkey has, since 1987, to complete 35 tests/standards in order to be even considered to join the EU. In those 29 years it has completed ONE of those 35. Even if Turkey ever abides by the other 34, then any EU member state, including Britain, has the right to veto entry.

These are facts. They're not opinions, or celebrity endorsements. They're just facts.

To say 'even if it takes 10 or 20 years they will join' is idle speculation way beyond anything you've accused me of for explaining to you how financial.markets work and impact. And the advert is even worse, but sadly entirely consistent in tone with Leave's offering.

Now, which one was Project Fear again?

People complaining about Turkey really shows the inherent racism of the leave campaign

Nothing to do with more independence or worries about an unelected controlling body

Simply 'we can let them Turks in! look at them their both Muslim AND non-white'
Turkey should not be allowed anywhere near the EU. Apart from the obvious geographical reasons reason. The current Erdogan regime is pretty despicable.

But one of the major complaints against the EU is that it interferes too much in our country and influences our policies, so surly it would intervene as much if not more in Turkey's?

Ha, ha ha! Remind me which of the tests/standards Greece completed successfully prior to their induction into the EU - are you REALLY that naive?

Preferential market access to over 50 non-EU countries - all of which would have to be renegotiated individually.

Quicker access to foreign markets and eliminating tariffs than the individual deals negotiated by Australia and Switzerland.

EU and its trade deals account for 60% of the UK's trade.

Although no doubt you'll find a reason why British business isn't an expert on what's best for British business.

I'm not getting into a p*ssing contest, because it's clearly not going to influence anyone's opinion on here, but just on the subject of trade deals I'll give you this from the CBI.
