| Looking forward to the game.
I thought Warrington were poor and we should have beaten them by more. We had a number of repeat sets on their line and didn’t come away with points.
Trueman, McShane and Evalds might rip your right edge apart unless you fix up the issues from last week. You don’t need to be a SL coach to see that weakness in your right-edge defence and the potency of our left edge attack. I’d expect most of our play to target that.
Cas v Leeds is always one of the games I most look forward to.

| Our right edge wasn't so bad - we conceded a few breaks but Johnstone can burn most sides in the league. Tupou is a handful as well.
I'd give Cas the edge in the spine but Leeds in the pack overall. Close to call but I'd expect Gale to be better and I don't think Cas' left hand side is as potent as Wakey's. Myler needs a good game for us with Trueman's short kicking game causing problems.
Thought Dan Smith was good against Wire, very interested to see how the brothers go against each other. Hopefully Cam will get more game time this week.

| Bad news for you is that Schoey has tipped you to win in his League Express column.

I had to read your first line several times to believe you wrote it. The right edge were pulled apart all over the place not just on the line breaks. Cas will have similar joy without major improvement in that area.

Couple of breakaway trys can happen in any game with Johnstone, he's that quick!

| ...as I said, it wasn't just the line breaks and trys, they were pulled apart all game, regardless of their left edge being strong it was an issue never fixed up all game.

We cannot have been watching the same game. Your right edge defence was a shambles all game and a better team will expose that even more ruthlessly than Wakefield did unless they improve.

I dunno. It seemed to me last season we were conceding tries like this with alarming regularity. We need to cut this stuff out, especially when it comes against the run of play and against teams we might be expected to beat more convincingly. In the first instance we need to make sure we cut down space for these kind of plays, but it would also be nice to have a few players who were capable of snuffing out this kind of danger once the break has been made (as Hardaker used to do for us at FB before his departure). Hopefully a few more players back in the team will help - Handley in particular.

| Our right edge were really poor against Wakey.
If Estmond isn`t ready I would sooner go for both Sutcliffes in the centre spots with Broadbent in the halves.

| Will be interesting to see when Eastmond is deemed ready. If not this week is a knock out game against the best in the comp, and we take on last year's runners up a week later. Tough gigs anyway you look at them.

| Either Eastmond on the bench for this one or he doesn't play until the Wigan game.
Resuming his career with a game at Saints away is a bad idea for multiple reasons, not least it will be a media circus and a distraction all of which will almost certainly not be helpful to his preparation.

Totally agree. It’d be a bad move playing his first game v Saints.. would put him under far too much pressure

| Looking like we will be unchanged as Agar says it’s unlikely that Eastmond will play this week.

| For me we should play him whenever we think he's ready - opposition doesn't bother me. It was a very long time ago he was at Saints now. I don't think he'd be fussed by it, he's a professional. No crowd either (which could have made it more tasty).
The benefits of getting a fit, skilful and dedicated 6 back in the side outweigh some of the negatives for me. Very interested to see how he goes.
With the side selection, I'd say it's likely we'll run with same again. We won the game against Wakey and actually looked alright for the most part. I'd still be tempted to switch A Sutcliffe and Broadbent around in the centres. Mellor is a good defender on the LHS and Broadbent is more used to playing there - for me, probably his long-term position too with Newman at 3.

| I'd have no problem running Eastmond against saints. After all there won't be a crowd and it's not as if there's half their side with a grudge. Must only be Roby who's still there from when he played for them
