| Not yet. We could potentially have weeks of fun at Clarke's expence first. If nothing else it has highlighted statistics can only take you so far but most sane followers knew that already.
After this weekend's embarrassing debut I have a feeling it'll be dropped in favour of good old-fashioned opinion from one of the many former SL players/coaches on the Sky team who might actually have a clue what's going on out there. There appears to be enough of them finding their way on to the team.

| Clarke is like Peter Snow and his Swingometer, a needless distraction.
Also, I just wish the commentators/pundits et al would all shut the feck up as Mrs Brown would say. The way some of them stare into the camera like they are talking about the National deficit is very disconcerting.
Overall, I am glad Super League is back on Sky though

Clarke also informed us that they don't input the scores at any point. Wouldn't they be a key indicator as to how a game might progress?
He did accept it may need tweeking over the course of the season.'"
Tweeking? It wants binning'"
Why? because something that is built up using data from hundreds of games didn't predict the exact score in 1 or 2 games.
What it needs is an explanation of what its trying to show and how it goes about working it out (in laymans terms)

| I say scrap the Margin Meter and no one outside of Mr Clarkes own little world understands it or knows how it works.......I say bring back TRY TRACK, or the dodgy thing where they colour the posts in when they're kicking at goal

| Has Sky dropped the (IMV) interesting & relevant stats they used to show at half-time, i.e. tackles made, completion rates etc which to my mind are a far more useful indicator than the margin-meter?

| Not a fan of the margin meter at all. Just a gimmick. On the schoey article re the huge amount of experts they now employ on game day. Is this a result of losing championship games?

| For all you heathens out there it was precisely explained on tonight's Boots 'N All.
Perfectly summed up by Hemmings when he asked Clarke 'how the fook did Leeds win Super League last season' ?
To which the answer was that they played better in the play-offs than they did during the regular rounds.
Clearly money well spent.

Try track was sometime interesting, sometimes awful. It could be interesting when someone had scored after several repeat sets, however, when there was a 100m try or the like, it was just a straight line. Also, it took no account of where the ball went, just the points at which the ball was played. Had it have been the former it'd have been better. I'd say have a range of these tools, and bring them out when relevant

Call me old fashioned but I can live without any of this gubbins. Show me the rugby, show me replays, give me articulate and interesting commentators and analysts and I'll be as happy as a pig in Wigan.
