| .........anyway, to discuss the original posters point like a grown up........
He does have a point.
Buderus is clearly the best hooker in the league, possibly the world. having said that we have won championships with Diskin and it is clear Diskin is not an impact player from the bench.
Diskin is, no doubt, on significantly less than Buderus.
Buderus will now have missed large chunks of the season.
Could that salary be better utilised elsewhere?
I don't necessarily agree with the point but can see the merit in its' discussion and it certainly didn't warrant the moronic responses it has received.

Did Ryan Bailey tell you to say that?

His season is over, I believe his Rhinos career is as well. Harsh decisions have to be made in sport and in this economic climate. For one of the highest earners, he is not value for money, and is a luxury player.
I would not be suprised to see a compromise agreement come to fruition, and Buderus is let go. This would free up even more space under the cap, for
players that we really need - ie quality back rower and centre.'"

You're posting hold about as much water as a droplet on a leaf, you have been proven guilty of two faced tery of the highest order.
Ryan Bailey should not play for Leeds again this season should he Gareth?

| I have to find my self with the same opinion as Gareth on this one, Buderus is by far the best hooker in SL t the moment. We look a much sharper team when he is on the pitch.
But, if his injury is to see him out for a significant term then, from a business point of view, cutting him loose may be the appropriate fiscal decision.
I really rated Toopi and was a little sad to see him go but it was the right decision at the time.
AEOTD Leeds Rugby is a business and having a player with a long term injury that may only have a few months left to play when they return may not be worth keeping on the books.
As it is at the moment we don’t fully know how long DB will be out for – the rest of this season is a cert but if his not back to full strength by the first half of next season then letting him go now would be the right business call.

I was speaking to UnleashKeith earlier, and we were disussing the probability of Diskin not been with Leeds next season. He has at time shown signs of producing the form he did in 2004 which gave him such high praise within superleague, but it is evident from this season that Danny Budurus is in a different class.
The problem however, if Diskin does not play for Leeds next season, is that can you rely on Budurus to play the majority of the games through the season? Also, is there sufficent back up if Buderus does get injured with Diskin not been here.
IMO, Buderus is not a luxury like Ali has been labelled over the years. Buderus is a player that makes the team stronger, and without him we are weaker as a team imo.
Although I do not post my views on Rugby league very often on here anymore due to various reasons. When I do read peoples opinions, below are quotes from other users of moronic abuse towards the original poster.
Makes more people want to join and share their views on Rugby league doesn't it?

| Buderus produced the best 30 mins from hooker i have seen in a long time in this league..the guys not ready to finish his career and it would be the biggest mistake by leeds in the SL era if you just let him go IMO of course.

| Danny Buderus is here on a two year contract which IMO he has more than made up for with his performances over this season. Just read on the Leeds Rugby website he’s going to be out for six weeks plus and it’ll be a race against time to get him into the play offs.
If anything he could be recovered by next season or near the play offs this season. At the end of the day injuries are part and parcel of the sport and we’ve got to accept that. But one thing is for sure and that’s when Danny Buderus is on the pitch he gives 100% and makes us a better team. To say realest Buderus now is lunacy IMO when he’s got such a short term injury.
Toopi on the other hand had a nine month lay off and we managed to fill his position just fine. This was three games after he’s just recovered from another injury sustained in the WCC. Danny Buderus on the other hand played 16 games after recovering from his long term injury that stopped him from representing us at the start of the season.
Big difference between the two I hope you see here. Hopefully Buderus will see out his contract with a lot more games that he can manage. But if he gets injured again I can’t see him signing a new deal.

If anything should be cracked down on it should be name calling and belittling. But that of course is just my opinion and I doubt it’ll ever happen!

| Sorry but I think Danny Buderus has been fantastic since he arrived at Leeds. I feel honoured to have him in the squad. Although we lost yesterday, he was the best player we had by miles.

And that is fair enough. But to give abuse to someone because your opinion differs from theirs on a forum is TBH, downright stupid.

And when did I say it was ok to give abuse? I certainly don't agree with it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
