I'm glad you've spelled it out for SR.
It was needed but really shouldn't have been.

| I have consistently said that Webb will never be the same player. A spinal injury is very serious indeed for an elite sportsman especially in a high contact/collision sport.
However TVOC appears to have stats that support an alternative view - you only have to watch him to see his mobility isn't what it was - he had a shocker on Friday it happens but don't expect the Webb of 2007 anytime soon

Lets not get carried away with what I posted, those stats were just his metres per match since his return from injury which (at the time, prior to the Salford game) appeared to indicate an increased involvement game by game. Unfortunately the Salford and Huddersfield game stats were updated as one on the SL website so I've had to average the two games and the average is half the metres he made on Good Friday.
The stats were only posted to show a week on week improvement (to that point) which could be interpreted as a gradual return to former levels.... perhaps.

| Wouldn't be a major surprise if Webb didn't get back to full fitness and form until next year at least.

Not sure he's that far off otherwise he wouldn't be playing.
His attacking link play out wide is what he offers most.

| The only issue I see with Webb at the moment is that he is stood far too close to the defensive line. Which is why he is been caught out often for position when kicks are put in.
This appears to me to be another tactical change this season. Beacuse I can't belive a man with Webb's experience would change his own play for the worse.

When did you get your MBChB? Spinal injuries are serious. True. Many people, however, recover fully from them. Them being in something of a spectrum of severity. Do you have any actual basis for saying that his injury was such that he will be unable to recover form it?

| I love all the doctors that have now appeared here on SouthStander! I would rather take the opinion of the coach, player and club doctors and physios who if they say Webb will (has) return(ed) to full fitness and his previous form then i'll tend to believe them!

| My concern & was b4 the injury is the lack of beating a man when running the ball out.
There may never be another e.t but lee smith looks a lot more dangerous when returning kicks.

Yep.
Didnt Robbie Farah have some sort of spinal injury? Yet is now seriously considered for State of Origin this year.

| TBF when he first came back he passed the ball onto either to Scotty or Ryan and didnt run it in at all. In the past few games he has ran the ball in a lot more and his old confidence does seem to be seeping back into him.
Form is temporary, class is permanent.
