| The club performed a perfect tribute to JH last night. To me,if the flags were flying at half mast or not last night is completely immaterial.
Email a very strongly worded complaint if you feel so strongly Emma, and by the way are you attending John's funeral on monday??

I agree that the tribute was perfect, BUT I feel that the flags should have been at half mast as well.
I am not attending his funeral as I beleive that funerals should be for family and friends only, and I was neither.

| I thought your club gave John Holmes a magnificent tribute last night.
I think you will find most of the rugby league family will be out in force at John's funeral on Monday.
I know that arrangements have been made for the service and speeches to be relayed outside for those not able to get in the church.

| Emma email the club, I am sure it was something that in hindsight they will admit they missed but to be honest it pretty much doesn't matter now.
I thought the Club put everything together incredibly well in such a short time and should be proud of their efforts, it was a fitting send off for a Leeds great.

Have you set up a thread congratulating Phil Daly and the club for everything they got right last night or just this one focusing on something they probably dropped the ball on?

Thank you to everyone who has passed on your comments regarding the tribute to John. The Holmes family have organised for the funeral party to go via Headingley so the fans can say one final farewell to John for those who can not make it for the whole funeral service. If you are coming down in your car, head for Car Park F, (the old training ground) and then line up along St Michael's Lane on the South Stand side. If you can be there for around 2pm that will make you sure you are then in plenty of time.
The flags not being at half mast was simple human error by the guy who puts the flags up and apologies to anyone this caused offence to however hopefully all the other actions taken were not diminished by the flags not being at half mast. I will ensure that they are at half mast on Monday.
Unfortunately, a number of us will be at Old Trafford for the Grand Final press conference on Monday but the playing and coaching staff will be represented at the funeral and John and his family and friends will be in our thoughts and prayers on a difficult day for them all.
Once again thank you for your comments, I will certainly pass them on to all those involvement, particularly Gary who was instrumental in organising things from our end for his former team mate.
Regards
Phil
PS If you have any issues in future, the quickest and best way to get hold of me is emailing me at phil.daly@leedsrugby.com as Paul did earlier in the week to spread the word about the scarves. I just happened to be online this morning and spotted this but had not received any other correspondence about it so could have missed it.

I don't think it's caused any offence Phil, it was just a passing remark as I'm sure Emma will confirm.

Thanks for your comments and reply Phil. Please understand that this was not a criticism, merely an observation, and the club should be applauded for their moving tribute last night. I am sure those affected by John's sad passing appreciated it.
