| On the face of it losing by 12pts v Wire in a grind isn't a crisis and to be fair what went wrong can be turned around quite easily.
However saying that when you dig deeper into the performance i think there are reasons for concern going forward.
Sinfield again was awful ,Mcguire was just as bad and this going on your own against a set defence is sh## so i hope & think he should be told as such in no uncertain terms.
Kylie was a passenger and Jjb was again blowing out of his arris but kept on long enough to again concede dumb penalties.
JP just can't carry this pack on his own anymore and whilst it's fair to question some of Cuthbos offloads we know 90% of the time he has that intent so why no support runners or even worse twice i saw players turn their back on him.
Seeing that team make so many dumb decisions and even worse imo panic when there's so much experience on the pitch says to me that perhaps there should be one or two changes.
Again i think it's criminal how little quality ball our back line gets off the HB's even when allowing for the grind we were sucked into the lack of creativity or nous to try something different was poor and again highlighted the shortcomings within the Coaching department.
Yes we were unlucky with some calls but we never looked like winning that game imo and that's poor tbf.
Hopefully we turn it around and it doesn't become a rut but i think the time has come to start rotating and preparing for the departures of the old guard.

It was a complete shocker! Once it was shown on big screen the reaction was very much "WTF?"

Dead right, but you've been around the block enough to see a few shockers like that.

| Can't believe some are saying Golding had a good game - he as an absolute liability. Turnstile tackling, miles out of position for the first two tries, kick returns to nowhere and offered sweet FA going forward.
He is epitomised as a player by the fact that he's scared to go into contact because it might knock the scrum cap off of his ing hairdo. Needs to either man up and accept he'll get his hair pulled or get a damn haircut.
Will never be a SL fullback in my lifetime.

The pitch was crap. On a decent track I recon we will wallop wire.'"
Lol.....and perhaps if your bootlaces were tied up differently or if the ball was a different shade?

| All in all we were not far off getting a win on a ground where we usually come home empty handed. The pessimists need some perspective. The latest Hardaker problem would have caused great upheaval for the pre match preparation - add to that the early loss of Moon and you have disruption to a settled side. Credit should be also given to a very committed Warrington defense who closed down our go forward effectively and did not allow us to get into a position to win the game.
Having said that we lost all the 50/50 calls and suffered some blatant bad decisions (even Cummings blamed the ref for one of them) So we could have sneaked a win or a draw, despite not really deserving it, because our defense too was pretty sound apart from the odd mistake that you will get in most games. Some people only ever seem to see negatives but never mention the positives. Just look at the tackle counts of Ward (53), JJB (44) Cuthbertson & JP (39 each) Singleton (33) Also despite our two most influential players being way off their best (Sinfield and JP) we didn't fall apart as has happened in the past during our most successful periods.

| warrington got the 50/50 calls last night and those calls swung the game their way rather than in our favour, imo they were the best side on the night and fully deserved their victory, let them enjoy their victory this time around as i'm sure that we can beat them when the big games come around later in the season

Yep, pretty much how I saw the game. A lazy performance from too many rather than out and out shoite. His conversions apart. Sinny's tactical kicking leaves a lot to be desired lately, and I think he had more brain farts last night than in the entire previous season. Our pack frightens nobody, Danny Mac is yards slower, both in attack and defence, but we have known that for a while as well, and young Ward looks like picking up JJB's mantle of penalty machine.
Our try was excellently worked, but 30 seconds of magic is a poor return for 80 minutes of fairly bland RL, which included too much of the headless chicken variety. Golding showed promise, and is well worth an outing in the future.
A meh sort of a match. No need to be cutting wrists just yet.....

| Warrington deserved to win, the defensive effort was superb. They also looked highly motivated more so than recent performances.
I am not unduly worried as I don't think there is much between the top clubs. Tactically we were naive, especially on the fifth tackle, aimlessly booting the ball high up to ratchford who to his credit does not drop them.
On the plus side singleton and ward are looking the part, on the minus side our half backs are poor, we need to release our centres and wings more ,as any of our half back combinations are woefully slow in thought and action this is a major problem.
I don't think any refereeing decisions cost us the game but the shambles around the ruck by Warrington went virtually unpunished all night.
I don't relish to be defeated by any club but I have respect for the wire as a club and tony smith. Also in the wire team there is no cheap shot merchants. Unlike next weeks visitors who have cornered the market in cheap shot merchants.

| I think the score flattered Leeds - there was never any point in the game where you thought Warrington would not win. Leeds definitely didn't get the rub of the green when it came to the refereeing decisions but that usually happens to the team on the back foot.
Leeds have never been a strong team attacking in the opponents 20 and that was exposed again yesterday, they need to play to their strengths of long range tries - no surprise the try originated in Leeds' own half. The back line is full of superb athletes they need to work on getting these players into more appropriate attacking situations.
Cuthbertson demonstrated why he is in SL and not in the NRL - there appears little selectivity in his offloading and his defence was exposed for Penny's try. He adds a different dimension to the attack but he needs to sharpen up his output if Leeds are to really benefit from his skills.
The half backs were terrible last night - not sure what you do to alter it?
You can see why this is Peacock's last season - he doesn't win the collision anymore and is really looking his age. As for Kylie - the less said the better, fingers crossed this is his last year.
On a positive - huge shifts from Ward, Ablett and JJB. Singleton continues to progress and Golding went OK.
Much to work on if Leeds are going to make the top 4 - especially as the back end of the season will be a struggle for older players in the squad. A win against Wigan is a must - a loss will really put the cat amongst the pigeons.
