| CasForum is worth a read - they reckon they need a similar clear out to us, with many putting the blame on DP. Not sure which I'd prefer - Champions one season then fighting to stay up the next, or perennial chokers. Though thinking about it, at least we've got something aside the hub cap in the trophy room

Players make the difference in big games. All a coach can do is develop those players had give a game plan. If they don’t then push themselves with the right mentality in those big games, they can only blame themselves.

| Powell has a poor record in big games overall. Although, they've done well to get so far this year, they've not been the same side after the Hardaker side show

| Luke Gale can't seem to be the game manager in these big important games.

Seemed to spend more time trying to suck Wigan into a brawl last night than concentrating on his and his teams performance last night which is a shame cos he's a cracking player when he focuses on playing rugby.

I've still not seen him take control of a big game like Sinny and Magsy did and actually manage the game how it needed to be played.
Very good player admittedly but sadly he's not as good as he believes he is

He us not all that and never was, simply a gear in a well oiled machine(game plan) but sided gave esiily found out how to stick a spanner in the works in the big games. Cas best ever period in there history, and had as much success as Huddersfields good period 5 years ago. Just a nice drinks plate and a fireworks display.

Chicken and egg. Do you think the cas players have had belief in the big game plans they were given? Perhaps the players were right and the game plan wrong?

| Cas players don't have the killer instinct. If they don't win one of these big games next year, they never will.

| Honestly think the grand final last year would have been very different if a certain full back hadn’t derailed their season. They might not have beaten us but it would have been a different game.

Agreed. Just like Huddersfield a few lyears back.
Gale has developed into a smashing player, but he doesn't have these same qualitiy around him that Sinfield and McGuire did in their haydays.
It's all well and good saying folk saying Gale doesn't grab big games by the neck but the KS and DM had the players around them that made it easier for them too do so.

Who had the better players round them in last year's GF because McGuire absolutely schooled him? That's the difference between a good player and an all time great.

| Gale is great when things are going well. He really knows how to exploit the great platform he is given and looks a worldy. Problem is, when things aren't going well he seems more interested in getting mouthy and starting a load of push-and-shove than trying to drag his team out of their rut.
Players like Mags and Sinny could play whether we were on top or not.
It's for that reason that gale will struggle at international level where against the aussies and the kiwis we are often not on top but still need to figure out how to win.

| Gale is around 200,227,333 billion miles away from being even remotely close to the player Danny McGuire is.
