The one who should have been here before Furner, the one who perfectly matches what our clubs says they are striving to achieve, that is Griffin.

He would certainly be on the short list. Class imo

Quote: Exeter Rhino "Amazing that McLelland is getting slated for what was a pretty decent game under the circumstances, when he's barely played any first team games. He's come on leaps and bounds since the Bulls game. Talk about fekkwittery!

I wonder how we would have gone without 3-4 totally unforced errors from seasoned pro Adam Cuthbertson. Cut down on those errors and we could well have won the game.'"

I would definititely stick with McLelland without a doubt and see how he develops throughout the season. Surely he isn't been slated? He was doing enough covering out there for Martins poor defence for a start, and that isn't even his job. Seemed to be growing as it went on, and really liked it when he took the line on. Looks much better value for money than Lui.

Not at all. Before lockdown was an uneven fixture list, that made us look good against poor teams. Now the fixtures are evening out and we look now right. Lets be honest here, had we played Huddersfield away before lockdown and Catalans away, we wouldn't have won either game at the time.

Whilst i totally agree we was playing easier teams pre-lockdown the team was going ok. Players like Gale and Cam Smith was going really well. We looked a happy more cohesive team and while its easy to dismiss the wins we was playing some decent rugby in my opinion at that time. Certainly much better than we currently are. We had some combinations going ok and Smith and Cuthbo off the bench was working well.

At the time of lockdown we was playing with confidence. You cant deny that Gotcha?

In terms of your comments on McLelland i agree 100% definately worth sticking with. Needs game time. Hes a tough kid, when he takes the line on he looks good, things to work on but definately has a chance and i would keep him there.

I am not denying we looked ok, we did. But it was against easy teams, but for the Warrington match, and confidence grew as a result. Had we played those two games I mentioned though, it would have been a different situation on the mentality side, which would have effected that confidence.

Agree Marty we had a good structure ,decent cohesion & Gale was settling in nicely into his 7 role.
We have none of that currently , our lack of Quality is now exposed as is our poor recruitment/retention.
The biggest things for me though are our poor fitness poor basics & lack of Coaching expertise.
We make far too many unforced errors & stupid decisions all from senior Pros.
We are very predictable & as much as i rate Handley there's no way on this planet he's a FB.
His running is very good but he cant read when to chime in & pass on our attacks.
That for me is a Coaching issue i.e selections , Wigans younger Pack outlasted us & won the grind whilst their pace did the rest.
We hzve younger lads ready who will do no worse & imo would give us more positives especially with their been no relegation.
To be honest Christopher was right re-some would jump on the youngsters back but imo the majority would stick with them whilst gain experience ready to go next Year better prepared.

The criticism of McLelland is unwarranted. He looked much more comfortable last night and will only get better by playing more games. Handley is game but he doesn't possess the ball skills to be a fullback, often stifling our attack.

Disappointing that Holroyd only got 18 minutes. Oledzki was very good when he was introduced.

Overall, there was plenty of guts and effort but very little skill and if you make 15 handling errors you may as well start a game 10 points behind.

Who would you have played at full back yesterday Mark?

I think it is fair to say, anybody but Handley.

Let's be fair here, he was perfectly fine at running the ball back, although where his dummy's to nobody come from into thinking anyone will fall for it, god only knows. But he is fine running the ball in.

However, he was utterly horrendous at chiming into the line and the ability to pass. He must have stopped at least a couple of tries. Also the knocking out for drop out for the first try conceeded, absolutely no need what so ever. Cost us. He simply can not read a game and know what is around him, we have seen this enough now.

Newman for me would have fitted fullback much better as a last resort. But with Walker in, we would have won that game, no doubt about it for me. We need a back up for him and we need to push that.

Will this be our reasoning in 2030, going back to the good old days of Kylie and JP?
Sinfield needs to get a recruitment policy sorted out. Starting with a coach who can coach.

Ok so we go with moving Newnan to 1. Whos your centre now then?

You can blame Handley for losing us the game but that is quite frankly ridiculous.

You had Sutcliffe on the bench who can play centre. You also had Handley at fullback who can play centre. We also have Alex Sutcliffe who can play centre.

I don't think I did blame Handley for losing us the game. I said we would have won the game with a proper fullback, and personally I find it ridiculous that anyone who watched that could say differently.

Gotcha you said we were ‘awful’ before lockdown?
