| Great to jag a win in another tight game. Next 8 are HKR twice, Wakey twice, hudds, Salford, London and another home games v Cas.
we are looking very short of bodies but it's a key part of the season coming up and we need to be more like 2017 in the tight ones than 2016 or 2018. The top 2 look a real cut above and then I think Cas are a step above the other 9 who I think can all beat each other on any given day. Winning the tight ones could still get us into the top 5, losing them could see us scrambling to stay up.

It looks like we’ll be okay by season end, but at the same time as you say, there’s no room for complacency.
Getting Ward back will be a boost and Crosby, maybe even Ablett, could still add something to the side when/if they return. We could do without picking up any major injuries in this next set of games too.

| I know they beat us but looking at Hull, Id say they have bigger problems than us at the moment!

Definitely ,the last few weeks have papered over some big cracks that appeared again tonight. I like Radford but maybe he has taken them as far as he can now.

It seems ridiculous that we play Hull kr twice in 4 weeks, why would they set the fixtures up like that. Our next 8 games are all winnable games, if we go on a run and win all 8 our season will be transformed and we’ll be looking likely to make the play offs, rather than been relegated.

Agree about the fixtures, we play Cas 3 times in 13 games from last Thursday and also play HKR 3 times in 13 games from next Thursday, seems mad.
The next 2 or 3 are pivotal I think, we will do well to win next week at Hull KR, hopefully if we get ahead we can then play with more confidence to keep playing rather than the grub it off the sideline , gain 10 yards and give them the ball back. Our attacking bombs from 40 yards out are poor. Myler needs to get himself set on the right hand side of the play ball when we are near the left wing to minimise the risk of being pressured from his right and kicking out on the full. We miss Moon's high kicks. Overall though I thought Myler showed real leadership and skill and guts on Thursday, more of the same please.

| Much better effort on Thursday night with some outstanding individual performances from Merrin, Hurrell, Smith, Myler, Walker and Dwyer. IMO Dwyer was the MOM simply because without him we would not have won. Not only for his match winning drop goal and try assist but he made 47 tackles too and his energy kept us buzzing.
The starting pack were solid in defence with Merrin and Smith especially so. Myler had his best game of the season as did Walker who was brave and reliable when under pressure taking the high kicks and he looked energetic and sharp with his carries and passes. I have been a critic of his goal line defence but not his attacking skills. His good footwork in tight situations is a reason I still believe he would make a fine stand off where he would score a lot of tries.
However there is still much to work on as despite our dominance in the first half we allowed Cas to seize the momentum in the second half and we only won because of Dwyer's golden point. This was in part due to the injuries to JJB and Holroyd at the time when Merrin also left the field. But it was also due in part to a lack of game management, a lack of a reliable goal kicker and of allowing the opposition quick ball at the ruck when we should be trying to slow down and prevent easy yards from the other side.

| The goal kicking is easy to resolve. Smith should have cemented a starting spot now. He is a very good kicker, go with him now.
