I meant if a deal cannot be done he will stay a RU player with Bath for the foreseable in other words probably the next few years or more.

Suggested that bath are after a fee of £800k. Bradford must be pig sick they're seeing none of it, given their role in his development.

But if his heart isn't in it and he just wants to go back to Aus then it makes the task of learning a new position in a different code all that much tougher. You'd suspect that if they didn't get him now that Souths will come back in 12 months time and go for him again, this time having had more time to sort out their squad salary cap wise to include him.

hope he does not come to leeds just for a year, if that is the case clearly his heart would not be in it, 3 year deal or nothing for me.

Id definitely take him for a year and the impact hed have on Mullally and Singleton would be worth it as well as the shirt sales etc. No brainer for me

Hetherington is not daft. If he's got a sniff of getting Burgess, there'll be all sorts of clauses. HarrisGate springs to mind

any sniff we have of getting Sam is 1 year only and that would be a big coup imo.long term he is going back to his family and Souths he has made it clear before he will return there,absolutely no way we get him for 3 years.That is the reality of the situation.

Singleton's at a stage where he needs to play a more prominent role, not less. For me, a one year deal wouldn't be worth the disruption, much as I'd like to see him back in RL.

I think if he signed for a year we would see Sam at 13 for us or maybe even the second row at times, he played that role a lot for Souths and would rip it up as a wide runner now in SL.

Quite possibly but for me we should be looking to build for the long term. We've already got one stop-gap in the form of Falloon, I'm not really fussed about acquiring another, however good.
