thats my name on the other forum, but if you look at the artwork on the Lionarmour its superb. The FIeldofclothofgold Armour is quite magnificent, but when the french king changed the rules he was unable to wear it,and he had to wear the one he had for a few years.so all the work by the great Armourer Von Sussenhoffer so Henry could show off it was not used

| I was a union rep for a few months about 18 years ago, whent to a big bash in
Bournmouth , hundreds of reps attended what a bash good hotel, good food, all paid for and a nice cheque for attending, just to spend a few hours listening to people waffle on, not decent speaker, just happy when the bar opened, and that was the year mad Hattie Harmen attended and made the promise that no Labour govenment would impliment P.F.I. a politician telling porkies that was a shock, enjoyed the weekend but lost all interest, if you feel ok with working go ahead, i can assure you union reps fill their boot.

| Quick question - where I work has various offices for various companies. At the front door this morning there was a picket line. Would you have crossed it, considering it was nothing to do with my company?
Incidentally they've all gone now, obviously the pubs are open!

Well, yeah. You can't really set up a general picket. If the strike has nothing to do with your company, you can't not come into work.
I've crossed a picket line today. I'm not in a union, so I have no real right not to come to work. To be honest, most people here seem to be in work as normal.

me mams family emigrated to the Sandford estate from West street in Leeds about 1935,so a lot of the old westenders had ancestors who ran out of potatoes.I think the lionarmour was created by a famous Italian Armour who's name I cant recall.Italian armourers even then looked more stylish and flamboyant different from the Germans.Although there is also in regina the section dedictated the Elizebeth II [thank god I got that one right]it was a dress armour owned by Robert Dudley ,the Gadger who was reputed to be giving her one.My accent sounds very much like JP and JJB

Not to wade too deeply into this debate as a whole, I would very seriously question whether using absolute salaries is a fair measure. If you compare similar jobs in both sectors, how would it come out then?
I can tell you without any doubt that I could earn more doing what I do in the private sector than I do where I am now. I know this because I chose my current job from 3 firm offers. The other 2 were in private sector companies, doing very similar work, and both offered more ducats.
I won't say too much more, as I'm not going to pretend thzt the reason I chose the public sector option was the pension. Because it wasn't.

As someone who derives a large chunk of his fame (and therefore his income) from his appearances on a programme funded by the general public - including millions of public sector workers - you'd think he might be a touch more grateful to those who have enabled him to no doubt have millions in his own pension pot.
I was more offended that he chose to use wounded service personnel returning from Afghanistan to enhance his "point".

The union obviously has too much time and money on its hands if it can afford both to seek legal advice and press coverage about this!!

| LCC's IT network was down yesterday as a result of the strike meaning most of the staff who didn't strike couldn't do much work anyway.
