| Quote: Andy Gilder "I thought that six referred to the young players recently signed onto the club's scholarship programme that were mentioned on here recently?'"
TP will need to qualify his statement but he very recently mentioned six new signings including Coady, Amour and Pitts.

Standards on here clearly are falling TVOC.

I did include them, did we sign 6 academy lads plus Coady, Amour & Pitts?
I thought it was 3 of each for some reason.
Even better if it is 9 in total

Again (as a few days ago) I thought you did and that justifies my initial reply.
Did we sign six Academy players? Those that have stated Leeds have should be along shortly to quantify the claim.

Well he very kindly just has and you and Gilderdale clearly misunderstood.
Standards on here clearly are falling G1.
Now if I can just figure out why we are referring to Soprano as TP we can get back on track.

So I'd guess the club have signed about 10 players for next year's Academy. Maybe even more on scholarship schemes.
Clearly Tony Poprano didn't understand himself.

One things is for sure you are not going to swop sun and beach and the premier competition in RL for cold and wet UK and an inferior comp for the fun of it - I would be amazed if Delaney has been offered less than Leeds offered Lee Smith? Maybe the offer from Wasps dwarfed anything Leeds could realistically offer - but give the relative finances of both clubs I find that hard to accept.

anyone actually believe delaney will be on more than we were offering Smith, and that this is as much as smith was offered by wasps?

Now you see, I'm never convinced by this sun and beach argument people (not just you) keep trotting out. I mean, I get bored of going to the beach after about 3 days, so by the time you've been there for 20+ years it's not actually inconceivable that some of the novelty will wear off. Considering how unappealing I'm required to believe that this country is, there seem to be alot of people from Australia quite keen to come and live here. And not just RL players either.

Unfortunately few people can choose where to live on the grounds of climate alone. My wife (Australian) and I (Bradfordian) would definitely prefer to live in Australia if it were possible for us to find work there. My wife moved here for her PhD because there were better job prospects than in Australia - not because she liked the weather! The quality of life in Australia is far superior though - better & healthier food, less spoiled environment, less social inequality and yes, better weather!

| I'd like a good proper change in the seasons. Hot summers, Ice cold winters, warm spring and crisp Autumns.
Not that you get that in Britain like, just wet, wet, wet (don'at anyone dare).

Your positive thinking isn't welcome around here!

Meh. Each to their own. I prefer to remain here on the whole. I suppose the fact that climate isn't the only deciding factor in where one lives was really part of my point. Living somewhere with nice weather but where you can't get a decent job doesn't do much for me. Besides, I actually like the British weather. I don't mind visiting other climate zones, but there aren't many places where you get the kind of variety you get in this country without the dangerous extremes some other places are prone to. My favourite weather of all is those really cold but clear days we seem to get a lot of in the winter round here. I'd miss them. The only places I've really found days to equal them have come with complications like dangerous altitude, lack of any form of settlement and several feet of snow during monsoon season.
Re: "Better and healthier food! I cook 95% of what I eat myself at home, as I would if I lived somewhere else. Not only do I therefore control its quality, but it is as healthy or not as I choose foer it to be.
Anyway, the point is that just becasue some people would prefer conditions in Australia it isn't reasonable to assume that everyone would. It is possible to enjoy living in this country.

| I don't like hot weather, I've just spent a week in Washington DC and I sweat so much that I now have fungus growing where my pubes used to be.
