The team that is top at the end of the season should be champions and receive the super league winners trophy. We should then play the top four in a play off for the premiership trophy as we use to, now that would fill old Trafford and stop doing everything the Australian way.

It never used to fill Old Trafford, quite the opposite. It was a total anti-climax. I don't agree with first past the post. It's possible to lose all your games against your nearest rivals, but hammering the whipping boys you could be classed as champions.

If Leeds started the season like a house on fire, were 8 points clear by May but suffered season ending injuries to McGuire, Aiton and Cuthbertson, I'd be feeling pretty short changed if we didn't top the league and be crowned champions.
