Danny has always been a class player - his try assists testify to that, something that is easily overlooked. His reading of a game is second to none, you don't end up in the correct supporting position by luck it requires skill and understanding.

The common thought on here that Leeds cannot play without Sinfield, this means the blame is seldom pointed at the captain. Danny seems to cop for most when things aren't going well which seems unfair.

One of the things that has made this team great is the ability to focus on the job in hand and deliver - nobody typifies that edict more than Danny. His will to win is every bit as strong as the likes of Peacock and JJB - an all time Leeds great.

He's playing well and has adapted his game over the last few years to another level which is good to see lets be honest we ALL knew he was more than just a support player from day 1.
I will say though he does try to do "too much" at times in that his show and go when the line is set just doesn't work and looks pointless when other options are there.

The show and go has been something he's done throughout his career with a lot of success, Unfortunatley he forgets that he doesn't have the same pace he had then.

I want that in a half-back. The last thing you want is someone like Matty Smith who you know is never, ever going to take on the line.

Even if it's not on, do it. Throw the dummy, drop your shoulder and make those inside defenders respect the fact that you're not just going to ship the ball on. Longer term, it attracts the attention of outside defenders and forces them to switch off from looking at the runners they're supposed to be picking up and look inwards at what you're doing with the ball.

Andy i get that and i agree but not every time you can see the line is clearly set and certainly not from a slow ptb and imo he's done it too often thus far this year when better options are there that's my point.

Absolutely - finding one is the issue Danny doesn't have the pace these days sadly.

Again i agree but it has to be better balanced between taking the line on and using the outside options especially when it's "on" to go wide.
