I get the definite impression that Sinfield could be one such person.

I could perhaps see him making a lifestyle choice for his family but I'd expect Leeds to attempt to keep him close and have a post playing career mapped out for him in either coaching or possible the administration side of the game depending on his outlook.

Super League have inserted a clause into their franchise criteria, whereby an overseas club can apply for a franchise (irrelevant to meeting any of the criteria), if they are invited by the governing authority. This makes it obvious that they are a shoe-in for 2012. They don't actually need to have 2,500 average crowds, have made a major final, have a £1million turnover or a player development system in place. Instead, the just have to wait for the inevitable invite, and turn up at the party. I thought more people would be aware of this?

No clubs have to have 2,500 average crowds, a £1million turnover or a player development system in place to subbmit an application, so were no different there. Why do flatcappers find it so hard to understand?
Overseas clubs are not even entered into the Northern fail cup, how are they expected to win it?
