A great Captain, and that try saving tackle was worth the MOM on its own.

If there is a better captain in professional sport, I'd like to see him (or her).

Sinfield typifies everything good about Leeds, he's a very capable player, but is more than happy for any other team mate to take the plaudits. He seemed almost embarrassed to pick up the Harry Sunderland trophy last night, but definitely deserved it.

Normally I would say that players don't really make good coaches at the club they had success with, as the game changes in the time between them playing and coaching, but they want to coach the team to play as they did. In Sinfield's case, he simply must be a future Leeds coach.

Quote: GCM1980 "Maybe not MOM, but I thought Bailey was outstanding tonight. Sometimes doesn't get the credit he deserves, but he really came up with a performance tonight.'"

Agreed. THought he took the ball up well, and often, and put some huge hits in.

He looked really up for it. Loved his drive into Graham at the end

Just watched the game on TV and Sinfield was massive for us. His tackle on Eastmond was different class. His speeches after the game show just what a top bloke he is. Deserves everything he gets out of this sport. As Stevo said a true leader of men!!

If he was a cricketer or a round ball over paid under performing merchant he would have been knighted by now. As it has been said previously, he does everything with the minimum of fuss and IS a true leader.

Evidently, as for MOTM, Stains said it should have been Phil Bentham!!

could have picked Peacock, Burrow or Sinfield for MOM, probably in that order for me but Sinfield was a true leader on the field and a great captains game. Fully deserved Harry Sunderland for his consitency over the last (how ever many seasons he has been captain) seasons

At the game I thought the MOM shortlist was Sinfield, Webb and Burrow (Diskin having a good shout at half time).

Watching it back on SKy+ I have no qualms with Sinfield's award. So, that's a Harry Sunderland to go with his Lance Todd but still idiotic opposition fans will pretend he isn't a great player.

Sean O'Loughlin and Jon Wilkin are not fit to clean the skid marks out of Kevin's playing shorts post match.

Leeds had many outstanding performers last night but Sinny stood out ahead of them all as the player who made the biggest contribution to the result.

Unlike other contenders for MOM put forward on this thread who were only on the field for half the game Sinny played as usual the whole 80 minutes. His leadership, high skill level and high work rate were evident again last night and his crucial 40/20, try saving tackle, drop goal and his tremendous tactical kicking put him ahead of the rest.

So many spectators seem to totally miss the quite no frills contribution he makes in every game. Try making passes, controlling the territory, SL leading kicker for the last 3 years, high tackle count etc etc. Leeds MOM and player of the season.

I am sure Sir Kev doesn't have skiddys G, I am sure he is methodical and thorough in his cleaning regime.

Sinfield had a top game, one of his best for a long time mainly due to the fact that he didnt do things which he isnt capable of.

I also thought both Burrow and McGuire were magnificent especially the latter who is turning into the complete 6.

But in terms of MOM I thought Webb was on a different planet, he looked a threat every time he joined in the line, his kicking game was good when needed and when Leeds were under real pressure he handled everything that was thrown at him.
