| Heard that he's signed a five year deal at Leeds, he's not liked at hull FC by a few players and Radford. It would involve a fee. Aiton and Houghton until the end of 2016 with Aiton returning home at the end of 2016 with Robbie Ward coming back in?

| Would be very underwhelmed by this signing if true, not a position we need filling? Certainly more urgent areas for recruitmemt

| Really not sure what to make about this signing.
I've watched him have some good games for Hull on the TV but whenever you go on the Hull FC forum they are forever slagging him off about his poor passing/distribution and can only pass one way etc (I know they moan even more than us!!)
I'm not sure if he's just a tackling machine or has he other strings to his bow that will benefit us? GH and McD clearly must think he does so we'll have to wait and see and keep our fingers crossed.
Not sure the signings of Houghton & Rapira are going to get that many excited??

| for me he's like aiton. keeps things tight and good defensively. when aiton goes off everything opens up. not a big name, but as I mentioned when we signed joel moon, an astute signing

| From what the Hull fans have said, he's a strong defender, and he runs well from DH, but his passing and decision making is very average. He could be an ideal replacement for Burrow if he does go to Cas, but I'm not sure I'd want him to be our first choice.

And I'm not sure he'd want to come to somewhere that he's going to get 30 minutes a week off the bench.
Houghton's an 80 minute hooker, his best attribute is his work-rate. Having him as a bench option is a complete waste of time.

Speaking to some Hull fans, and going by some comments on their board it would seem the opposite is true. Yes, he has a excellent work rate which doesn't change whether he starts or not, but they seem to think his passing is very average, and his decision making isn't great, however, he's fantastic running out of DH, and has an OK kicking game. So to me he sounds very similar to the front row version of Burrow without the added ability of being able to defend in the middle which I think is the reason Leeds maybe interested.

| Not impressed by the Houghton rumour. Don't rate him, would rather stick with Aiton and have Robbie Ward as back up.

| Just seen this.Hope it is just a rumour, Aiton doing just fine and Robbie Ward can do the interchange stints if Burrow does move on.In a nutshell, best to spend the money elsewhere imo.

| I like Danny Houghton. He's a proper #9. However, I'm just not convinced it's an area that needs that sort of investment. I've been quite impressed with Aiton this year, and unless somebody really exceptional, like Clark, miraculously became available, I don't see hooker as a priority. Taking nothing away from Danny Houghton, who I think is a top player.
Stevo likes him, and for all his verbal buffoonery, he knows a thing or two about that position.

| Not sure whether there is anything in it, as they've just let go of England academy captain Brad Parker. I'm sure gotcha and others will be surprised of that.

| Brad Parker hasn't been starting in the 19s side at Hull, so it sounds like he's had a falling out with the club. Seems to have struggled with the step up from 16s to 19s.
