| Quote RHINO-MARK="RHINO-MARK"Defensively we were immense our pack were determined aggressive & git stuck in.
I thought Ava was awesome but so were Merrin & Cuthbo.
I thought Sutty did an excellent job on Lefao with Newman also stepping up.
Our HB's are beginning look like they know how to play together & Myler was top class.
Yes there were errors but from 1-17 they grafted their nads off & that's all we want to see.
Agar isnt my choice long term at all but he's got a Team playing for him & each other so fair play.
Re-Handley he had a decent game & recovrred well after that error in the 1st half & irrespective of what Gotcha thought his pressure on Blair after Eden tried a worldie was spot on & a game breaker.'"
Agree with that. Really pleased I went along, they looked like a team. I wonder if they've been told you are the squad for next season with possible exceptions of Ferres and Golding and therefore spirit is in a different league.
Myler has done ball steals in last 2 games that has changed both games our way.

Shame really because Gotcha clearly has a lot of knowledge about the game and I enjoy most of his posts. But he rarely changes his opinion or accepts anyone else's if they disagree with him. The lad maybe doesn't have the ability but tries, like when he almost got out of the in goal. And at a time when so many of the team have been going through the mentions, he's been someone to at least give it a go

Not to be churlish but where the _____ have they been all year? Playing well because your contract might be torn up doesn’t wash with me at all.
Benefit of the doubt; Lui is helping Myler and some others have been recovering from niggling injuries.

He should have gone for the ball, Simple as. The player dropping the ball had nothing to do with Handley, he wasn’t there for the drop, that was because of the pass. Handley has no idea what he is doing and just goes for the man. The ball was there.

I agree on the ingoal area, and I don’t even blame him for the drop ball from the kick, as all those Cas players were way offside. But the rest of his game was awful. His positioning in defence terrible, and the really frustrating issue of not been on his wing when attacks are made there. But the biggest thing last night was the the Hurrell no try. It shouldn’t have come to that, even kids teams wingers would have scored before that. What he was doing with flailing arms on the floor I do not know, it was quite simple to score.
If he plays well, I will quite gladly comment on it, and I have a couple of times. But most times he is a very poor winger. I actually think he is better at centre.

I didn’t think Handley had time to go for the ball. The Cas player was already catching the ball as Handley got there. It was Handley’s pressure that contributed to it being dropped.

And I disagree. The ball was dropped with or without Handley. The ball had bounced up off the floor before Handley took the man.

If Handley had gone for the ball and missed it Cas had an open field, he made the correct decision as the result showed.

No, you are misreading the timeline. I am not talking about the pass, I am talking about the dropped ball. There was no chance for an open field, as the Knock on was already made. He went for the man, despite the dropped ball.

| According to the YEP Daryl Powell thinks there were some "tough calls" against them. Not sure what else Thaler could have done with a 13-6 penalty count in their favour and a lot of 50/50 calls going their way (especially all the ball steal penalties they got compared to the loose carry knock-ons given when we lost it in the tackle).

Yep it was 3 or 4 calls from Thaler that effectively got Cas back into the game.
There were 2 in particular virtually back to back midway in the second half where he gave a knock-on against us despite Cas hands all over the ball and then a penalty against us for the same thing.
Then another one after the kick off I think that he then gave us a team warning for.
In defence of the refs it’s very difficult to tell but there was a period there where it felt harsh towards us.
