| most looked to be good decisions. our discipline at the start was awful.
the penalty against wilkin for running around the back of his line was, for me, a bad call. iirc we scored off it

| Just that the ball seemed to go back to us somehow as he probably didn't see from where he was sat how? One or two were contentious but I can't see the issue, Saints were allowed a lot more freedom and played for penalties.
I'm sorry but we looked clueless and flat at most points last night, our forwards just ain't good enough, apart from a few. I can't slate Briscoe like everyone else, he just doesn't have his spark no more. But two unused Subs, what stupid thought did he have there. My patience with McDermott is wearing very thin!

| Quote: Maverick Rhino "Holbrook said 5 out of 6 restarts of the tackle count for Leeds in the second half were key to the game and he was baffled by the decisions.
Without watching it back, anyone know what he's on about? I recall one where a Leeds player might have been offside, but five?'"
I think there was one kick that hit the Saints player but it looked ball to man and he didn't make a play for it and Watkins I think dived on it, restarted the tackle the count when it should've been a handover imo.

| Away from us (and Cas obviously) the rest of the table is looking very tight now
Cas - 44
Lee - 34
Hull - 31
Wak - 28
StH - 27
Wig - 27
Sal - 26
Hud - 25
If we beat Hull coming 5 days after Wembley they'll get dragged closer to the rest and it's looking like a 6 horse race for 2 spots. Wigan have dragged themselves back into thanks to Saints 2 consecutive losses but have to go away to Saints the week after Wembley so could set them back again. Even Hudds in 8th spot still have a chance if they beat Cas at home in their next game....tough game but who knows how Cas will play like between now and the playoffs?

| Quote: Gotcha "First half was horrendous. Can't tell me championship teams couldn't have produced better quality. This is why Cas are League Leaders, not because they are that good, but because everyone else is so inconsistent, with many a poor game.'"
Many fans have been saying that for months.
This year the SL has been very average apart from Cas.
When is the last time we saw a poor Saints, Leeds, Wire and Wigan.
The title is there for the taking for Cas if they can keep their form.
If you watch those Golden game highlights on Sky and notice all of those top quality players that were about 10-20 years ago and look at the players now and especially the ones that are supposed to be the stars of the game - well, they aren't a patch on those players in those first few years of SL.
We only get the unknown from down under who stand out in this ordinary league but looking at those players that the top teams had were fantastic. We will probably never attract that quality of player again in this country while the NRL can pay double or treble what we pay.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

| What is a shame is the NRL is getting better and SL is getting worse - not sure how we close the gap
SL seems in a downward spiral that is going to be very hard to halt. Less quality leads to less money that leads to less quality and on it goes.

| Quote: Joshheff90 "I completely agree. As many have said, I could see him as a strong running, ball playing, lose forward. But BMcD likes to play a work horse there, so I'm not sure that would have be his best option either.'"
But one of the big disappointment about him is that he does not know when to pass, so I doubt he will ever make a ball playing anything.

| Thought both Leeds and Saints were good defensively, we won because we were less holding on to the ball.

| according to garbutt last night he was fit but not selected and " he doesn't have an injury" so he doesn't know why the coach said it.
didn't seem much love lost between them. came from the player himself before the usual bollox starts

| don't give a flying one with your stupid faces. plenty of other fans heard the same. he was having pics taken with them. I simply asked when he'd be fit. that was his reply.
nice constructive reply though. your usual standard

| Quote: tvoc "Agreed, needs to be given a role and coached in to it. Would be interesting to know if Ryan Hall is looking forward to getting space sucking Moon back as his centre.
Sutcliffe still has a bit to learn to prevent butchering any more two on ones like happened in the first half but I think Juan actually called this one right, centre for now looks his best fit.'"
Even as a centre he disappoints he just does not seem to see overlaps and players in space. He shows traits of Andy Hay syndrome...you know he is going to dummy and go on almost every occassion!
