It was once he wanted to play, first ten minutes I think he passed on every ball he received, he didn't look like he wanted to take the ball up.

I have to say Tom Briscoe gets some stick on here but i always think he does a decent job for the team. He seems to win a lot of tackles but then mess about on the floor and try and win repeat sets instead of playing it quick tho. Ive always liked Tom i have tp say. I thought Luke had an excellent game last night also, really good actually.

Yep, as i said earlier about Martin, very much hope he stays for another 2 years.. good player.

He's never been as bad as some seem to think. I think he's underrated

Tom has had some poor games this year though has played well recently and was good last night along with Luke. Some of Toms attempted finishes at times have been really disappointing.

Tom's terrible under any pressure under the high ball and both Briscoe's come off their wings to leave walk in tries for the opposition.

Both need upgrading, whilst not the priority. I.e. Prop.

Seems a bit marmite on this board T Briscoe. I can see what some are saying on the negative side - he hasn't always been great in finishing and you don't seem to get many breaks from him these days.

What he does do it take contact very well and is difficult to put down, and he's solid if not spectacular most games. A real professional too.

Totally agree with previous post re. Newman - if and when he learns to pass well and play for his winger/team mates more, he will be world class because as a runner he'll beat most 1 on 1.

If you want to see a proper centre who can pass, Jack Broadbent is better than any of the other options we have.

Not sure what you’re basing that on, Toms been solid under the high ball for at least the last year and He’s often had to come in off his Wing because hes often been playing outside Hurrell who’s reading in defence is not his strong point

Not marmite at all, I'll comment on his performances accordingly whether good or bad. That seems a difficult concept for people to grasp on this board, I know it's hard to believe but you can actually hold the opinion that a player is sometimes good and sometimes not.

I personally think Tom has been average at best for the last 3 years now.
But last night he played really well as did Luke.
The whole pack did their bit last night with the only negative being Dwyer.
Myler once again good at the back and Newman outplayed Gildart who I have to say must be one of the most over rated players I`ve seen.
I think Leeming just about deserved mom but could easily have gone to Smith.
I felt Lui did well even though he was at snails pace most of the game.
Hicks once again making bizarre calls and Wigan`s attack was absolutely terrible.
First half both teams were pish poor.
