| It could have been worse. You could have sacked Furner & put Lowes in charge.

| Lowes was in charge of the defence & like Mc.D his time had run out simple as that.

| Interesting that they've promoted Agar. I've heard he has brilliant technical knowledge, but has been let down by his man management in his previous head coach stints. Lets see what he brings to the table.
With regards to Lowes, again I've heard good things of his as an assistant, but sometimes you need to freshen things up, and if he was in charge of D, then he's rightly gone IMO.

| Anyone know what the opportunity is that Lowes has supposedly left for? Or is this just code for Lowes being pushed out?

Club attempting to make Lowsey the scapegoat for such a horrendous start to 2019.
Sinny the next to go, because ha has produced sweet FA since his return.

If JL's been coaching defence then the axe has fallen squarely in the right place. Though there are a few P45 candidates in the playing staff too.

Unfortunately you can't just sack players, we've got a few at Hull that would have been gone if you could.
The person who needs to go from Leeds will never be sacked.

Of course he means Hetherington, and he is right. There is no doubt what Hetherington contributed to for us, but like the players that did it, he also has a shelf life, and has done his time. More and more mistakes over last few years, and seems out of touch with what the game needs as a future, where previously he was leading the way.

Yes but the appointment of Sinfield was in recognition of this surely?
Whichever league we end up playing in next year (!) we have the best stadium in RL in the country. GH does have positive qualities, I just think he's made a series of poor decisions relating to playing side (individual player selection, being too slow to compete for the better young talent in the Academy / respond to improvements made by other clubs, resistance to Reserve side).
Sinfield needs time, everyone needs to realise this. The mistakes made under HG and BM in terms of recruitment over years cannot be unpicked in 6 months. Players are under contract and the salary cap means we don't have much room to sidestep those contracts. Sinfield cannot magic performances out of thin air; and in my view the current squad just isn't capable of doing much better, they're already trying. I'd expect some improvement over this year due to better cohesiveness but that's about it.
I'm not sure that re-assembling the old successful playing squad in Leeds' administration team is necessarily the right way to go, but I do believe Sinfield is intelligent and understands what is needed.
The changes in roles have already happened pretty much; we're not going to see huge changes in first team form until the players change though. If Sinfield gets recruitment wrong for 2020 as he does get cap available to spend then I'll be critical of him, but we simply don't know what's going on behind the scenes and should give him benefit of the doubt at least.

Everybody knew it would take time what is & should be unacceptable is Sinfields "standards" of recruitment thus far.
This squad by his own admission wasn't good enough so why add ordinary players to a squad already over flowing with that type & i make no apologises for saying his decision to give his 2 best mates new deals were shocking calls.
The blueprint we used for our success has been ignored too long & whilst it will take time to transition properly the current policy could set us back 3/4yrs.
We always needed quality balanced with good pros with a clear pathway for our best Acadamy prospects to step up that blueprint is nowhere near to completion under this current route.

The post makes some sense but there is no getting away from the fact that other SL teams this year have average teams and many individuals not up to NRL or international standard (albeit historic) ergo Leeds should not be bottom and losing to teams like London at home, yes maybe away and similarly to Wakey - Not saying they are poor but we have been in winning positions and then been unable to close out a ugly unpretty win.
This has to be down to poor coaching as well as poor playing
I sit in the Carnegie stand and the general murmur is that if Leeds get relegated in this one up one down season then the Championship will have one of the best but one of the emptiest grounds in the league - I would not pay best part of £400 a year to watch Leeds Vs Swinton or Rochdale
