Rather than showing an anti-Leeds bias I think it shows how many different people have contributed to our success over the years. Our TEAM always really comes to the fore'"
That may be, but TS didn't even scoop coach of the year in 2004! Don't know what else he could have done that year to earn that award.
The players you've mentioned are all credible winners, but as someone has said Sinfield rarely seems to even get a mention.

I'll give you Tony Smith. I don't think our coach was the best coach in any other year - at least not when the awards were given out.
Sinfield shouldn't get that many mentions as MOS - he has rarely been Leeds' "best" player. 2005 was the nearest he came IMO

| Sinfield wouldn't want an individual award. He believes in the power of the workers' collective.

| The awards are handed before the real heros step forward. Personally I think that there were very few dream team candidates from Leeds, but I could imagine a situation where player A and player B are pretty close, but then player A wins it due to a massive performance in the play offs

That's pretty remarkable isn't it when you put it like that.

Was McGuire even Leeds best player in 2004? He scored the most tries but I think Matt Diskin would've been a more worthy winner

| What's the point of the "Team of the Year" award? I've never understood that. Isn't the team of the year just the team that wins it? Also, how can they vote for "Team of the Year" before they know the Champions?
For example, I'd suggest that reaching the Challenge Cup Final then going on to win the title from 5th would probably be enough to be crowned "Team of the Year", but at the time of the awards nobody would know we'd done that.

| Sssshhhh...I'll be worried as f*** next year if we get to another GF and one of the lads has picked up an award. It'd be the equivalent of washing my lucky thong.

| I would happily have no individual honours as long as the team play as they have and keep churning out the titles!!

Wigan at the top is stunning, considering they have only been champions twice in 16 seasons. And only topped the table 3 times

Not so stunning when you consider the media bias towards Wigan, that has always been there.
