It's a tough call to drop anyone after that performance but i think we need Ali in the final, he's a gamebreaker one his day but i do think Delaney will be playing instead of someone, hopefully Kirke but i doubt it.'"
I agree...Ali should get his place on the bench (esp as he stepped aside last year). Kirke should be the one that makes way...but, as you state, he won't. Those illicit photos continue to pay dividends for him.

I forgot about Delaney!. Yeah he'll be in. Ali has to be in to, but who makes way?, you mention Kirke but then that would leave us with only one prop on the bench. Ali's strength is in running wider from the ruck, he'd be wasted playing as a prop playing down the middle.

We also actually beat Warrington twice in the league as well.
Cas aren't much of a warm up though to be honest.

How's about this for an omen, Leeds in 1984 went 18 games unbeaten (equalled club record) and lost the 19th game to Hull, the same club that ended that run the first time Leeds did it. The first time Leeds did it they won the CC. You would think then that in 1984 the planets had aligned again and we would be soon lifting the cup. Leeds lost in the CC semi to Widnes.

We stuff Cas at the back end of pretty much every season. It's becoming a welcome tradition.

Who can tell. Leeds have had their name on the cup a few times, perhaps none more so than in 2010 as it marked the 100th anniversary of their first Challenge Cup triumph.
Omens or just coincidences?
Leeds have scored 2004 points in the Challenge Cup during the SL Era and we all now recognise 2004 as a special number following the first Championship in 32 years.
Wembley will mark Leeds' 100th cup fixture of the SL Era. Let's hope this century can create a happier memory of a good performance than the one above.

We just stuff Cas at any time of the season ... What the drubbing we gave them early in the season a couple of years back.

Maybe so, but the cannon fodder they've put in front us a few games from the end of the last 4 seasons has provided a welcome boost for the run-in

Having said that, we paid for the win with our dearest blood last year with the loss of Peacock and Biff Burgess just before the final.
Glad we came through last night more or less unscathed. Hope that's the same next week in London.

Nice spot.
Leeds have kept a clean sheet in four of the last five opening forty minutes. Last night was also the fourth consecutive time they've done that while facing Castleford.
Thanks in part to Rob Burrow taking over the kicking duties in the final quarter Leeds have now scored 666 points V Castleford in the SL Regular Round matches at Headingley.

I don't keep those stats but I can't recall him being substitutied in any game this season before last night.
One thing for sure is the four attempts at goal by Rob Burrow were the first place kicks for Leeds not taken by Sinfield this season.

Good work as always TVOC. The devil is in the details.
