It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg

He is, but not as good as Daniel Holdsworth, who is pulling all the strings. Bet Gibson gets the MoM though from the blind and the partially sighted at SKY.

He did the same at Headingley until Leeds got on top.

His linking and understanding with Patten is a lovely combo.

Of course not. One of the many examples of points he has cost us, remember last minute a couple of years back, when he threw the ball into the south stand when we were winning and the resulting play cost us the game. Bradford I think?

Just for starters, I would suggest Newlove and Connolly were light years ahead.

Even the best all-round Leeds centre of the summer era ? Brad Godden for me.

As for his current, prolonged run of wretched form, some people still believe there's no one better at the club icon_rolleyes.gif

Which other current Leeds centre would have burst through the McGilvary tackle, made the break, kept his hands free in the covering tackle and sent Burrow away for Leeds' solitary try on Friday night?

Without Senior's contribution there we could have been re-writing the Leeds SL record books.

Swings and roundabouts tvoc.

The "other current Leeds centre" may well have created an entirely different try. Who's to say?

Look, if he was putting in Giggs-like performances week in, week out, then his age would be relative and it wouldn't matter. Bottom line is, he isn't, and he's past it.

Watkins is the future. Put him at Left, and let him stay and develop there.

Smith at Right (unfortunately) and make Senior fill any gaps created by injury instead of Watkins having to do it.

Watkins is the current right wing, Smith is out injured.

Friday was the equal 4th heaviest (in terms of ponts difference) home defeat of the SL Era:

1 - 19th May 2000, Coach Lance, -42 points, Leeds 2 - 44 Bradford
2 - 4th August 1996, Coach Bell, -38 points, Leeds 18 - 56 Bradford
3 - 3rd August 1997, Coach Bell, -34 points, Leeds 14 - 48 North Queensland Cowboys
=4 - 19th August 2005, Coach Smith, -32 points, Leeds 10 - 42 Bradford
=4 - 15th April 2011, Coach McDermott, -32 points, Leeds 6 - 38 Huddersfield

The 38 points conceded was the equal 12th highest shared with three other results (one of which bizarrely was still a win.)

Yes, I know that thanks. icon_wink.gif

What I'm suggesting is that it would be more benefit for Watkins to be learning his future role properly now, and developing there. Instead of deputising for injured players.

Form merits that it should be Senior acting as the dogs-body getting thrown in as and where needed, and that Watkins has done enough to merit been able to play in his preferred position.

If you can (kind off) pardon the 2005 result (match before cc final) its our worst result in 11 years.

Was the win Huddersfield 2001ish?

Perhaps but without Leeds get some bodies back (Jones-Bishop, Smith, Hardaker) or promote from within (and I've no idea if anyone has earned that right in the under 20's) then Senior still represents Leeds' best option there. Top metre making centre (of either team) on Friday.

Highest score conceded at Headingley - SL Era

Yes, I think so.

Its a real shame to see him like this. It would have been so much better had he gone last year. I really don't know why GH offered him another year. He was past it last season. He offers nothing in defence and very little in attack (I know he set Burrow up).

Thanks for the memories Keith but time to go old lad!!
