Saints are a great team, who play with an aggression and a shape few can match when at full strength. They'd give any other successful team in the SL era a game.

Indeed they would. But as I say they're no world beaters. The standard imo for several years including when we won it last is average at best

Yep. Their speed across the team along with their speed and accuracy of passing on top of a big strong pack make them a very very good team. Up there with the best SL era teams we’ve seen in my opinion.

If Saints do win the title, as they deserve to, it will be very interesting to see how they fare in the WCC - depending on how much of their squad they can keep together now.

Mark of a real era champion side is taking out WCC titles: I know the Aussies haven't always taken it seriously enough but I remember when we played Canterbury at Elland Road and the intensity we took into that was unbelievable.

My personal pick would be the game we won against Melbourne for intensity.
