Merrin must be made captain now. Watkins has never been much of a talker and now that his performances barely justify his inclusion he’s not leading by example either.

We need to make a statement signing now, I said this the other week and it’s getting even more serious. It needs to be someone like Sam Burgess, although I’d have a go for George Burgess as I think we’ve a chance to get him.

We missed Myler tonight (I feel a bit unclean saying that) and Lolohea shouldn’t play for us again until he loses at least a stone.

Walker was much more rocks than diamonds, and the wingers were none existent.

In the forwards only Merrin, and I thought Smith can hold their heads up. Albert is a desperation signing, and will not add anything other than a warm body.

Other than Merrin and Smith, all the other forwards can go for me, not one of them has any serious fight in them, and that’s the biggest worry of all.

Quote: KaeruJim "Well.. that would have been even worse without Mr Hurrell.

I'm not too despondent about that one, because I didn't think all our problems were fixed with one 1 point win against an under-strength Cas at home.

Furner isn't making Walker kick the ball out on the full several times, or Sutcliffe. Couple of one on one tackle misses, also not Furner's responsibility.

We've had a squad which is overall very poor for SL for some time now; we are going to struggle through this year because we need to change the players.

Whether a new coach could give the squad a short-term lift, I don't know, but I suspect consistency is what we actually need. We don't need to win every week

A new coach won’t do anything, were at the very beginning of a rebuild our aim for this year is to stay up, I’m really not sure what people were expecting, this will take at least 2 years, at least.

It’s the attitude we had too I think. Too big to fail. Too big to be liquidated. We won’t get relegated as SL need us etc. But we did. And it’s tough to come back. Exciting but tough.

Hopefully we’ll both win next week and draw each other in the cup! Could do with a derby!!

I really don’t mind Walker making mistakes, he is young and will have these type of games, at least he was trying!

Personally thought Singleton looked our best forward.

I think most of them were trying, but they are either that bad or that dumb it didn’t make any difference.

I said the other week and I’ll say again, how many of our players make a match day 17 for a top 4 team. Thats the problem, not the coach.

Dwyer and Hurrell were our best imo. Much prefer Dwyer to Parcell atm although he does seem to tire and struggles to do the full 80 minutes.
Albert was ok and certainly worth another look. I would imagine that he has a few errors in his game but his offloading is something that we need imo.

2, Hurrell and Merrin, which is a sad state of affairs

Live been watching Leeds for 50 years take you blue and amber glasses off, this is the worse Leeds team I have ever supported. This team is shocking, can I suggest you take you head out of your ar** and realise what is actually going on here, and yes I'm the mug who bought 8 tickets in the directions suite ,

Two main problems. Powder puff defence, especially on our own line.

Also our halves are awful.

Not many who can hold their head up tonight.

Smith missed a couple tonight, although he also nailed most of his D and I think is improving.
Oledzki wasn't as good as the KR props but has done nothing wrong this year, and is still only 20.
Lolohea had some nice touches again but doesn't look like a half back as people have been saying. Walker might need a rest over Easter and we might see Tui at the back again.
Very concerned about Watkins, he's not moving well at all and was struggling to keep up with play at times.
I know what you mean about Myler: but frankly he is the only proper half we have in the first team squad. Sutcliffe annoyed me tonight, too greedy and some critical errors.

Pathetic rudderless rabble.
Watkins in particular is a prime example of why we need a reserve grade he's nowhere near physically or mentally ready to play in SL.
