No rugby league club in the world could self -finance a £30m stadium development without any external or special funding arrangements. It's amazing that Leeds can and have financed about £20m of the RL side's total redevelopment themselves even without the enabling property development. My point is simply this you cannot have a situation whereby the council is helping to financially support a commercial business when its cutting services elsewhere. Even some of the more i81otic posters on here can see that.

Let's be honest how much additional revenue does having 4/5 days of test cricket a year bring into the city? its only full for 3 of those days when the Aussies play here which is once every four years.
