Oh yeah? Then why were there, what, 90 odd thousand RL fans at Wembley last year? Still, since the Rhinos don't rate the Challenge Cup much these days, I take it you won't be fielding your best side on the 5th then? Just a token show to appease the fans? Won't mind a tonking?

The interesting thing is that whoever loses will go out with virtually zero revenue from the Challenge Cup this season, and that can have a serious effect on the clubs spending power.

It won't help but I wouldn't imagine it'll have a massive effect at a well run club. Gone are the days when a certain club could assume an annual appearance at the old twin towers and probably balanced the books (if they ever balanced) on the strength of it.
Crowds barely bother to show up before the semi these days anyway. |
