| Totally. No-one can legislate for injuries but if that happens then it's when that alleged new team ethos will come to the fore. It won't mitigate all the damage but heroic effort will always find more favour than the meek, what-do-we-do-about-this looks that the players too often resorted to giving each other last year.

Well, if Leeds are anywhere near relegation this season after the money they’ve spent, someone needs shooting. We should have some space to complete the rebuild. It’s just getting the right balance between character and the club’s extremely valuable culture, and outright playing ability.

| Quote Gotcha="Gotcha"This issue with Garbett I think gets blown out of proportion on here to be honest. I don't believe for one minute he was a bad influence. He was in the Carnegie on Sunday watching and with players. I think it was just simply the case that they had to sort the team out, create space on the cap, and sign what was more pushing for them. In those terms it wasn't just specific postions they were looking at, but type of individual. I think they fully intenteded to replace Garbutt in those changes, but non movement of other players to release more cap space is what has stopped that, or postponed that. I am sure if they could have guaranteed Garbutt on the field more consistently, that probably releasing him wouldn't have been one of the cap spaces they would have considered.'"
Completely agree. I think most are just trying to justify, on the clubs behalf, why we'd let our only quality prop leave when the remaining front row are 5 or 6/10 at best.

I haven't given up on Golding yet, but if walker is injured Tui can go to FB and Smith at SO, or potentially even Sutcliffe... Or Golding gets recalled. Unfortunately for the lad Walker just offers a little more overall. Interesting to hear all the good report on young Stephens from the academy though - another very talented fullback who might be keeping the pressure on Walker in a year or two.
In a way - good problems to have!

I think he'll be the best of the lot personally. He's like a young McGuire with more vision. Or an older McGuire with more speed. He'll rip defences to pieces once he gets going and the ground drys up a bit. Tui is all class. SL suits his game better too.

| There is no way on Gods earth is Lolohea like a young Danny Maggs. Sorry.
He's a classy player who needs to run more than he has in the 2 games so far but I'm sure that will come when the season starts properly and he's got ability to throw cut out passes on the edges like Brent Webb used to do for us. I'm excited to watch him especially with Watkins and Hurrell outside him. However that to me is what Tui is, a full back with vision.
Unfortunately I just don't see him as the game managing, tactical kicking, forward bullying, organising stand off we badly needed.
