8 I reckon. And it wasn't just the errors at the beginning of the 2nd half that took it away from Leeds, both teams were pretty ordinary in the first half (hence the close looking scoreline) then Wigan moved up to 3rd gear to pull away comfortably.

| If we score off an excellent attacking kick it's down to the skill of our kicker and a great kick chase or planned play (top coaching obviously). When the opposition do the same thing it's because the nearest Leeds player made a "mistake". Two great high bombs on the back of aggressive go forward, dropping on an isolated winger under heavy challenge. Very good attacking rugby league. If executed well, extremely difficult to defend, especially against a guy like Manfredi.
Anyone who watched the way the forwards of our fellow cellar dwellers Huddersfield run onto the ball, angles, lines, timing etc. And then watched them routinely pick the correct side to attack wide when Saints were not numbering up has to realise how far away we are.
The boys tried but they all look lost.

I would say this is a sign that the coaches are influencing the players. It was player errors just after half time that took the game away.'"
Your attempts to continually polish an increasingly smelly turd duly noted. Never gave up? Half the team never started. Honourable exceptions Galloway & Keinhorst.

| The influence was there, leading Leeds to the heaviest defeat of the Magic event against one of the poorest Wigan teams ever assembled. Having seen all twelve SL teams play this weekend several clubs may end the season switching between the eight and bottom four, Leeds don't look like being one of them.

| Your best spell in the game was when hardaker was in the bin. His first act when returning was to give away a penalty for double movement. I notice Golding has received a fair bit of flack this year but his performances at FB were a damn sight better then what hardaker served up Saturday.

I agree with your first sentence. Hardaker has been appalling this year. Golding is very poor. Too lightweight for Super League. If Mac is going to settle on Lilley and McGuire as the halves then I'd give Sutcliffe a shot at full back. Hardaker can go for me. He's offered nothing.

The double movement was not only harsh but understandable to go for the line in the circumstances (scoreline, time remaining) and most players would've gone for the line. But agree he wasn't great again on Saturday. Isa's second try when the grubber went through I thought Hardaker would beat Isa to the ball but he looked so sluggish getting across and Isa got in ahead of him comfortably in the end.

Far from me to agree with nantwichexile (I feel filthy) id be tempted to put Sutcliffe in at centre until Moon returns. Then have Keinhorst in the back row to tackle anything that moves.

Tipped Sutcliffe's future position as centre/attacking 2nd rower (instead of our usual workhorse ones) a couple of years back. Over 2 years later I've seen nothing to change that. Not good enough for the halves and better options for loose which I'm not sure he'd be up to the defensive work on a weekly basis.

Sorry, and I genuinly mean this not to pick at anything, but no you didn't. Only Juan Cornetto has raised the centre position as best for Sutcliffe, and it was last season, and I followed this up this season quoting Juan Cornetto as centre would be best going forward for Sutcliffe. Not at any time of those discussions did you state the same.
You might have a post of your declaration, and if so I sincerely apologise, but never have you mentioned it whilst these other discussions have took place. And I am referring to centre.

Called it after watching the Hunslet friendly early 2014 in which whilst he was meant to be playing halves he spent the game near as dammit holding hands with the guy playing centre. Not repeated it on every discussion about him since as I was prepared to give him time but doesn't mean I've changed my view. I like yourself have never been sold on him in the halves and I'd prefer someone more workhorse/bigger for loose. Did also suggest at time he could possibly give us an attacking 2nd row option to go with all our workhorse ones.
