Why is it rubbish? He was stood down field, saw what Eden was doing and ran to put Rankin under pressure. If he didn't, Rankin catches that ball and who knows what happens. I get you don't rate the kid, and I agree he isn't the standard we need. But when someone does well give them credit.

Just about every player made errors or gave away pens (hard not to with Thaler's arsyness mind). Tidy it up a bit and a good show looks better still.

Defensively we were immense our pack were determined aggressive & git stuck in.
I thought Ava was awesome but so were Merrin & Cuthbo.
I thought Sutty did an excellent job on Lefao with Newman also stepping up.
Our HB's are beginning look like they know how to play together & Myler was top class.
Yes there were errors but from 1-17 they grafted their nads off & that's all we want to see.
Agar isnt my choice long term at all but he's got a Team playing for him & each other so fair play.
Re-Handley he had a decent game & recovrred well after that error in the 1st half & irrespective of what Gotcha thought his pressure on Blair after Eden tried a worldie was spot on & a game breaker.

I think Donaldson's style seems very kirke-like. Merrin goes off, he comes on and tackles everything that moves

Fair summing up. I would add the over rated Cam Smith looks a slower version of Sutcliffe and if fit Lunt should get the nod.

Saying that I would like to see him just used as a BR and I expect him to improve with the better forwards around him now especially with genuine pack leaders like Merrin and Ava.

Just finished watching the game back, and the togetherness was unreal last night. When Koni hit McMeeken with a couple of minutes to go, and the ball ended up in touch, I found myself fist clenched punching the air when everyone ran in like we’d scored a try. Great stuff.

Basically if Handley went for the ball Gotcha would have said he should have gone for the man and vice versa, fact is he went for the man which was the correct decision.
