Most over rated player since his brother in law.
Sinfield has achieved everything in the game will be an all time great of the game. O loughlin won't

| If Tomkins plays in the halves and Hardaker at FB, then have Zak as captain just for the outrage it would cause from fans from other clubs

Not a bad shout the VT would be happy hardaker already seems to be a player they don't like, ideal scapegoat for England when we lose

If SOL does get awarded captaincy then one word springs to mind: sentimental.
From what I’ve seen on sky, the Wigan captain has had some really bad games this season and only a good run in the play offs I would make him an outside shot to be England captain. He’s also very injury prone and like Sinfield has been unlucky that he’s playing in a period where we’ve been spoilt for leaders. James Graham on the other hand should be at the peak of his career right now and I hear nothing but good reports from the NRL. He was awesome at Saints and has been great at international level so now is his time.
A bit of a long shot for consideration: Michael Shenton. He was sensational during the 2009 Four Nations and England only started to get battered in the final after he went off injured. This year is he showing some great form as Castleford Captain. He should definitely be back in the England team but still a mostly non/long shot for England captain.

You’re right!
There’s also the 3-0 series whitewash of New Zealand in 2007 and an International origin series win in 2013.I’m sure I’m not the only one on these boards who’s so obsessed with the lack of success against Australia over the years that I forget other victories. My bad.

Tomkins would be another candidate for me. He's really developed at NZ warriors I think he'll be a leader when he returns for england in the autumn.

| Great news for Leeds, not sure it's particularly good news for England.
He was MOM in most of our WC games last year, bettered only by Burgess in the semi.
Yes he had a brain fart in the dying seconds of the semi but should never have been put in that position. His previous 79 minutes which included the setting up of 2 of England's tries were possibly his best in an international jersey.
