| He's a fantastic prop, why does it matter what age he is.
He's still performing every week unlike some players (Senior, Webb etc)

| Kylie perofming every week? She should auction off her knickers at the end of the week. I'd buy a pair.

| Form wise it's a no brainer but i hope it doesn't cost us Singleton or Baldwinson long term.
Although saying that G makes a great point re-kirke and Moore i'd add that Griffin hasn't worked out either.
There is a risk that he can't/wont maintain that form though because as we've witnessed many times in the past age can catch players out and i hoe it doens't happen to Kylie.

Singleton got blooded at Odsal with Wakey. He was terrible.
Very pleased if Kylie stays another year: good for the team, good for team spirit.

fully agree with your first point but regards Kylie not maintaining his form i dont see it as a problem as he is only on one year deals from now,not tied to a long contract. As it stands at this moment in time he is still one of the best props in the comp. if he starts showing drastic decline by this time next season then he will be gone by the end of next year and nobody loses really. If he is still at the top of his game we maybe seeing another year extention.
A sensible way of doing things IMO.

| Griffin I'm sure will be gone and judging by recent selection (Singleton making the 19 ahead of Moore) I'd guess that Moore would be next favourite to leave even though he's not OOC. Unlike Kirke who is but provided Kirke wants to stay then I reckon he'll be here next year.....you only have to look at how more comfortable McDermott is with using him compared to the other options.
When Kirke plays he usually replaces Leuluai around 20 mins. Vs Warrington at home with no Kirke but Moore and Singleton on the bench then Kylie does an opening stint of over 30 mins.....wouldn't have stayed on that long if McDermott had Kirke on the bench instead.

Might depend on how much he plays, so far he's coping very well. Everything still seems to be a knock on effect of BJB being out......
BJB returns....
- Watkins returns to centre
- Ablett returns to loose
- Bailey returns to 1st sub prop
- Kirke returns to 2nd sub prop
Then we have 2 props on the bench McDermott is more comfortable with putting on the pitch.

If I heard him right McDermott said that BJB still has another 6-8 weeks recovery

| It's good to see both old timer props playing the best they have ever played (within memory at least). Possibly it's a sad reflection on the general SL standards that both continue to match - or even surpass - the best in the competition, but I too would be happy to see Kylie in Leeds colours next season if his present form can be guaranteed. There be the crux.
Are we not at risk of the one-season-too-far-syndrome?

There is always a risk, but I don't think it would be a season too far for kylie

With props and how many players in your squad you can have who could play there (we started the season with 7 not including Achurch or JJB) then its not too much a risk as with a more specialised position like stand off for example. Plus if Kylie really is desperate to stay then we don't have to offer him big money to get him to sign.

| Just catching up on this thread and agree with most – if Kylie is on form then why not eek another year out of him? I’ve always been a big fan of Kylie’s and will be sad to see the day he hangs up his boots.
I think Moore is getting a bit of stick TBH. In my eyes he gives a lot of bang for your buck. I’ve never seen anything but 100% from him and does a good job when he does have a stint. I’ve not seen enough of Singleton to say if he’s better than Moore or not but as it is I think he does what we want out of him.
