I am not arguing about two different issues! Hull FC have asked the SMC to stop alcohol from being taken on to the terraces in light of recent anti-social behaviour and then quote the incident against Crusders and the two incidents v Leeds on Saturday! So, they are saying they are banning alcohol from being taken onto the terraces in light of this issue, correct? My argument is that this is not the real issue, the issue is both Chav corner and the resultant allowing of a culture to develop among a small group of fans that this behaviour is acceptable to the club by there inaction.
That makes sense doesn't it? |

Bless you, you have missed my point! While the possible threat of losing your job is different than been banned from watching a team play of being moved to another area of the ground is different the principal of what my wife does for large companies is exactly the same.
To be fair tacking the culture of 15k of Hull fans is small beer (pun intended), she is used to dealing with and changing the culture of many more people than that!
I can't go into too much detail because of confidentiality issues but in a large operating section of the current FTSE 100 company she works for, the culture change and communication strategies have led to more than 2500 disciplinary hearings becoming less than 100 within the last two years or so! She didn't do this by making more rules, but by solving the problems and then having less rules! Yes, productivity, staff retention and staff satisfaction are all up as well... go figure! |
