My last memory of Mercer was him saying something like, 'the day Adrian Morley is better than me at any part of the game is the day I retire.'
If he'd said that about Ian Kirke he'd probably still be turning out today.
When you see the aggression Morley had in that (Cassidy) game from Central Park it's frightening to make comparisons.

Indeed. Had a big heart did Gary, never backed down. Tough as nails.
One of my all time fave players is Morley and even though he left too early a Rhinos great IMO. |
