41106.jpg You come at the king - You better not miss.
It ain't what you takin', it's who you takin' from, ya feel me? How you expect to run with the wolves come night when you spend all day sparring with the puppies?:41106.jpg |

| Quote: ThePrinter "Funny how it works out though. Keinhorst is unlucky to miss out this time but was quite lucky to be named in 2012, a selection that didn't really work out.
Achurch I think selected because he offers more in attack and I do think we'll attack despite it being a final. I can't see a repeat of last years conservative tactics.
My worry with Achurch is that it usually takes him 4/5 games after an injury lay off to get some form going again.'"
And the problem with that is that he seems to struggle to stay fit for more than 4/5 games

| At the start of the season Achurch was great at working the right channel. Offers something different to our other second rows.

Agreed. 'Potential on paper' versus 'delivered on the pitch', this season in particular. Still, if Achurch gets crocked in his time on the pitch again, he will get to visit a different set of medics / visit a different hospital.
Sad for Jimmy.

| You want your best 17 available players at a Cup final.
Is Achurch better than Keinhorst, in the round? Yes. Therefore he's in.

Delaney is part of our best 17 yet you didn't think he should be able to "just walk back into the side".

Is an unfit Delaney still in Leeds best 17? Not IMO.
Still, it's nice to see you taking a personal interest in my opinions again rather than having ones of your own.

Is he unfit? Did you perform you're own personal fitness test on him?........Or do you just have a bit of a hard on for Achurch that walking into the team/injury record doesn't apply to him. Think it's the latter.

Yes, because I never post my own opinions on here, just reply to you only....no really. Anybody would think this was a message board with the point of debate.
Still I suppose I've learnt I shouldn't touch your Achurch nerve, you're clearly a bit keen on the guy.

| I guess it comes back to the debate / point that has been raised before of if it is better to have someone making the most of a more limited set of skills / potential (Keinhorst) or someone with more ability but not living up to it at all (Achurch).
Me? I would sooner have a less able player in playing at 95% of their potential than a better player who is only performing at 60% of their (theoretical) ability on the bench.

| There are players at Leeds that do "walk into the side" after an injury lay but imo Achurch isn't one of them nor do i think Keinhorsts' form has been bad enough to warrant getting dropped.
Anyway i still expect us to be too strong for the Robins and in a final winning is all that matters.

I would agree with this...it always had to be down to the choice between Keinhorst and Achurch for the last spot in the 17. I'm sure it was a very tough decision for McDermott....I wonder how he came to his final decision and if selecting Keinhorst in 2012 - much to the surprise of many - had some bearing on [ithis[/i decision.
Times like this I'm glad I'm not the coach

| Keinhorst deserves to play in this final over Achurch. The last 2-3 months proves that. What has Mac seen in the KR team that makes him believe MA is the better choice?

we don't know how training has gone this week. achurch could have been flying and keinhorst poor/ like you say it must be hard telling any player he's not playing.
i'm just glad singletons in. the lad deserves a Wembley appearance

I think Achurch can be a bit of a luxury player but does offer something different when running wide and offloading
