It hasn't just come from that 1 interview though mate apparently he would'nt want to play for us and it's common knowledge down Cas Vegas way.
Either way he's not been that good for a couple of yrs now so i'd be surprised to see us go after him and IF we are after a young british back-rower i'd go for Ferguson at Wakey.

i would go with that i would prefer ferguson to Westerman, and i dont really want to see a player in our shirt, who hates the club.

This Westerman hates Leeds is a load of 5h1te, simple as that.

He grew up as disliking them sure as many oppossition fans do now, but as with any professional rugby player once they play for a team they want to further their career as best they can. Westerman would give his right arm to sign for Leeds, as he would for Wigan or Saints also.

No player has ever signed for Leeds who disliked them as much as Lee Crooks did. Crooks didn't even make the choice to sign for Leeds, it was forced on him by his club, and Crooks knew it had to happen to help them. Once he realised there was no going back for him, Crooks was a great player for Leeds at times. Given the same opportunity again I am sure Leeds would have still made the same signing.

If he wants to make it at the top of the game he needs to start acting like a top pro.. that's if his comments are true mind...

As I posted he does hate Leeds, and has said this to friends on a number of occasions, in the not too distant past. Also as I posted, this does not mean he wouldn't sign a contract with us.

For clarity, I would have no interest in signing a player who has given his right arm to join us, unless he went on to score as many tries as Brian Bevan...

ps, Crooks cried all the way to Leeds when he came over to sign...
